This might be a suprise to everyone but I actually expect Crocodile to come out as the strongest of Shichibukai after the two year timeskip.

I expect him to regain his mastery over Haki(CoA), have no water weakness and his sand being as sharp as blades.

I tend to agree and I really hope so, his my fav Shichibukai.

Underrated has well.

so you think crocodile has progressed more during the time skip than luffy who trained for 2 years with rayleigh because luffy is still no match for mihawk or blackbeard crocodile may have improved but he is no match for luffy right now

Blackbeard is not Shichibukai anymore and I never considered him as one. He just abused his position and quit after being Shicibukai for what? Two weeks?

I think Croco-boy has more in him than an eye meets. There must be a reason to his ridiculous over-confidence. Threatening Jinbe (water bender), Mihawk, Doflamingo and even trying to kill Whitebeard.

Imo, I think he was a very powerful pirate in past, he ventured into the new world with the goal to become Pirate King but was defeated by Whitebeard. He ran away to Grand Line with his tail between the legs, lost his confidence, powers and became sloppy over the years.

It reminds of the situation in water 7/ennies lobby. When Luffy encountered Blueno for the first time he couldn't do a thing to him but when he had a certain goal and motivation he was a beast and was on a whole different level. I think Crocodile will go over the same transformation. He said to Daz Bones that his wound has healed.
