If the two were to have a no holds barred match between themselves, then Neji wouldn't have to worry about hurting Lee and be able to hold his own accordingly just like Kimmimaro did.

Of course it is and hmmm...I would have to disagree here. Neji was amazed by the fact that lee could use the gates at all. That mixed with the weights and the drunkness ( it is such a powerup for lee and makes his movements so unpredictable) is just overwhelming. And...Neji just isn't on Kimimaros combat level.

If you add the gates, then Neji would have a much harder time than Kimmi of course who only fought the drunken version of Lee and not the gated drunken version

Honestly, this is just an opinion, but I think Drunk Rock Lee with eight gates, could probably surpass Pervy Sage.

Him being drunk with his speed weight off is one of the strongest attacks I've seen, between Bijudama and Garuuga. You're right, Neji just stood to do nothing, and with his mature mind, he probably wouldn't either. Look at the side effects and you'll see.

I somewhat could agree with this. Except for the huge toad summonings that is. Jiraiya without summonings, I could totally see Drunk 8 gate Lee beating.
