Yeah Konan marked the end of the Akatsuki and the beginning of the war. She died in a badass way but I would have loved to see her more. Her generation died (Nagato/Yahiko/Konan), their master died (Jiraiya) and it was that sad ending. Truly touching. She was indeed great.

I completely agree. Konan was like a sleeping lion waiting to be awakened. Aside from Tsunade and Mei, Konan was the only kunoichi capable of fighting on the 1st tier guys level. She would've rocked in the war. Unfortunately, like all the women she was downplayed and died way too early.
