i guess you would have to also look at the fact that choji became 100 times stronger to defeat jorobo while neji defeated kidomaru,an opponent stronger than jorobo

No, doesn't work with that kind of logic. Neji was perfect match up against Kidoumaro while Choji was best choice against Jorobo. Also, Choji had no problem to defeat Jorobo when he activated Butterfly mode.
