Luke skywalker actually grows up to become better than yoda overall. Anakin had the potential to be the greatest of all time, but his loss at mustafar crippled his potential. Galen marek had amazing potential, enough to even surpass anakin, but his death inevitably ended that. Revan was also considered to be a prodigy of legendary status, although it is hard to compare him to the current jedi. Revan overall may have been the most powerful.

Starkiller was actually originally slated to be Luke's name, but was changed in the second draft or so.

Um, have to go with Revan here. He basically came up with the idea of the force that both orders follow all the way past Luke's life. Also very powerful in the force. My favorite is that he was (likely) the first Jedi off of Tython to marry =P (go Bastilla!) Also pretty cool about him, he is (possibly but I'm pretty sure) the only person to be both a Jedi Master and Sith Lord AT THE SAME TIME!!! =) (talking about after the games here)
