Many people saying Sakura.What about Hinata?!She could shut off Sakura's chakra plus she has byakugan.And if she could use kaiten,then Sakura would not be much use against her.In Negi vs Naruto Tenten said kaiten was a type of ultimate defense,like Gaara's sand.

If we're talking living character or living some point directly in the series, I'd say Konan.

To a point about people saying Chiyo, I initially thought she was strong too, possibly with a YOUNG Chiyo being incredibly strong, but remember, she cursed Tsunade. Tsunade far out classes Chiyo and Chiyo is aware of it.

In part 1, it's clearly Temari though, but really the only other candidates are what Anko? Shizune? Or Kurenai. Admittedly, Kurenai is by far the strongest genjitsu user.

Both Hana characters are sleepers I say.

From the adults, I would say Mei and Konan.
Not to forget Guren, she was really powerful but too bad, she disappeared. Only her love for that kid weakened her.

I disagree about Hinata being worthless. The ability to shut off chakra flow thus removing the enemies ability to use jutsus as well as her Byakugan (abilities too), makes her the opposite to being worthless. Sakura yes, she is worthless but def not Hinata.

but she cant so your whole comment is pointless and worthless. gentle fist does not shut off chakra. it damages organs hence its name. strong fist shatters bones. sakura needs one hit to obliterate hinata. hinata needs many many hits to fully shut down sakuras ability to fight back as seen by naruto vs neji. and since sakuras superior to her in the areas that matter or at least close to equal, hinata stands no chance. sleep gas + earthquake punch = dead hinata

Try to note that Sakura uses her chakra to strengthen her punches and so is her chakra circulatory veins are disrupted the chakra flow will be disrupted and its bye bye super strength. Also Sakura cant hide that she is going to use any kind of bomb bcos of byakugan and Hinata can always use Air Palm to throw her back. Plus gentle fist style users are much more agile than strong fist users, as they expect most of their opponents to be strong fist users and thus train for it. Plus if its about bombs every shinobi can use them . . . . Hinata can drop a smoke bomb then surprise attack Sakura (she can see through smoke) . . . . or use air palm on Sakura to throw her on the air then throw explosives at her while she is still in the air etc Think before u call anyone useless.

sakura can henge into a rock or something. byakugan sees past genjutsus and things that manipulate chakra. but sakura as a rock should have the same chakra as regular sakura, right? and a rock can be mixed in with other rocks, meaning sakura gets her off guard. at the least the gas will make hinata retreat, right into sakuras earthquake, which causes hinata to lose her balance. sakura sends in a quick clone distraction after that and scratches hinata. game over due to shizunes poisoned kunai. it never stopped being poisoned and did have a delayed effect but sakura can survive till it takes effect.

Byakugan can see through nearly anything, so ur rock behind rock theory is incorrect. Byakugan has 360 degree vision and x ray vision that saw through nearly 10 km distance through forest, hills and what not. So hiding anything from byakugan is absurd.

Good that u understood that everyone has bombs, kunai etc even if they dont use it generally. They are the basic skills that are taught to a shinobi.

Also as u seem not to observe thing properly, In the pain arc: Hinata was trying to push back Deva so that she cld have a chance to break off the chakra rods implaing Naruto. Thats not dumb , she knew full well she cld not win and so was trying to free Naruto but needed to keep deva busy somehow.

Also if there is a 'earthquake' Sakura cant find he stable footing too and air palm can always push Sakura away if she gets too close for comfort. Plus air palm can also be used to blow the gas and infact any projectile towards Sakura.

Well the jinchuriki are excluded because they are obviously the most powerful.

I'd say Konan and Chiyo are the most powerful if we exclude Mei and Tsunade.
After those two I'd say Temari is the strongest female jounin in the manga. Kurenei, Anko, Karui, Samui and Sakura are toss up matches.

Then we have Hinata followed by Tenten then Ino. After them we have Moegi lolxd.
