Entering Sage Mode is no problem for Jiraiya when he has teammates to cover him. Sakura can boost his ninjutsu attacks via chakra sharing as well as heal Gaifor when he suffers the afteraffects of Gates. I'd say they can beat Pain or even Nagato...maybe.
