[Discussion] Strongest Character in Naruto Universe. (NO six path lineage or cell enhancements)

Hey all,

My appologies if this has been discussed before:

As mentioned no altered characters to be included including Madara + hashirama cells, and the sage paths.

Databook wise: Jiraia and Itachi are the strongest members.

Kishimoto has stated that in a fight between the two: Itachi would be declared the winner.

Overall there is no real data to support the older characters.

Hashirama was considered the god of shinobi. However Hiruzen was considered the strongest Hokage that ever lived.
Therefore Hiruzen in his prime would be a contender of top spot in the world of shinobi up until Itachi.

Overall is there another way to determine an order of the strongest aside from the data book?

Taking into consideration all the data available and including the interviews Kishimoto has had.

Itachi seems to be the overall greatest for the current timeline.

Gai already knows how to deal with Itachi's Genjutsu. He trained for it in order to beat Kakashi's Sharingan.
Gai's Taijutsu > Itachi's Taijutsu

Gai does NOT need the 8th Gate to beat Itachi.
Keep in mind at gate 6 he was handling multiple Edo Jinchuriki each with a Rinnegan eye. That's not a feat Itachi can do unless in Edo form.

Yes I know Yatta Mirror this Totsuka Blade that. Blah blah blah. We've seen how they fend of Ninjutsu but not taijutsu especially at Gai's level.

Yes Itachi can win but only if he can catch Gai in a genjutsu (which he could.)

Taijutsu are Physical attacks. Yata Mirror negates Gai's Taijutsu.

Gai gets wrecked and becomes Itachi's servant.

its wielding not 1 but 2 sacred relics which can block everything and then seal eveything it touches.

then you have his tsukoyomi that requires no eye contact

if that doesnt do it for you, he has the eyes of his other solo king which he can use KA on everyone.

8-gates guy maybe a contender but as soon as he brings up his full susanoo, its GG mid diff

the only thing greater than the yata mirror is the plot shield. and only thing that got past the yata mirror was his SOLO AIDS

Yet Hashirama never lost against a Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan user but Itachi was just a Mangekyo. Hashirama beat the strongest Sharingan + Kurama all by himself. He would handle Itachi like nothing.

As for the Yata Totsuka crap...The words were "It is SAID"...Hearsay does not equate to fact, especially since we know a lot of stuff is put out of proportion and even IF it were true, Itachi's craps stamina would only let his mirror block a few of Hashirama's god level attacks before he prostrates to his lord.

It's all meaningless since we have so little info on it.

Hell if it were that powerful, Itachi would have used it against Kabuto's Dragon Sage Arts, but it must be such crap that it was not.
