Itachi is epic! He only died because he let himself get killed! He deserved a better fall! I mean, OW! He fell into a wall! I thought epic good guys were supposed to get epic-good-guy-falls! He defeated his whole clan, single-handedly, and didn't kill his brother because he didn't want to, then he predicted the entire war from the moment he killed off his clan! Who predicts like, what, eleven years in the future? He even came back just to get a more epic way to disappear, and knew he would die, but took the entire future of everyone in his hands with his epic plot-no-jutsu! You know what, this whole story would be dead if Itachi didn't exist! He keeps the story running with his plot-no-jutsu! He's stronger than Obito, no doubt about it! He died for the future of everyone! He knew Obito would try to rule the world, so he gave Sasuke an excuse to get stronger. He knew Madara would come into play, and that the world would run into war, so he gave Naruto the way to stop Sasuke and get help for the end of the war. He knew this would all happen, and took it on his shoulders to make sure the shinobi, the people, lived >

Currently Obito. Before Nagato died, Obito. I say that because Obito has sensory skills and would've been capable of finding Nagato and sending him to that other deminsion.
Ive never seen renegan do what Eternal Mangekyo can and EM hasn't done what renegan can.

Honestly I would see Itachi by sheer intelect and analysing alone would defeat Obito also I believe Nagato would defeat obito if he was just a bit more exsperienced with his rinnegan
