So as everyone wants to know who exactly Tobi is... It is not that simple there are many theories on who he is and aside from just the fun of solving the mystery nobody really knows who he is.
My personal opinion is this: Based off of everything we have read and seen thus far, I think Tobi is just the first original zetsu clone made by Madara Uchiha before he had died to continue on with his plans. Madara gave him the plans and orders, and by certain means and going to this extent, Madara somehow gave all of his knowledge to Tobi. I think anything is very well possible with the rinnegan. We have seen the Sage create life out of nothingness so who is to say Madara can't do that, at this point nothing would surprise me with what the rinnegan could do.
SO what I am saying is Madara either A created a new body with izanagi and created tobi with the life of hashiramas cells and transferred all of his knowledge with the human path somehow, or B...
Madara Uchiha took his brothers body and used the zetsu cells to not revive him but make him reborn. NOTE: When Tobi was brought back into flashbacks he had long hair from the beginning, but later cut it in the series. I think at that time he had Izuna's body, but after a while Tobi has to do a body transfer and use different zetsu cells to keep the body alive. Shisui Uchiha has been brought up on numerous occasions, and his body was never found. My guess is Tobi used Shisui's body as his new host almost as if a parasite.
No matter what anyone tells me though, Tobi is a being made up of the white zetsu cells aka hashiramas. I don't know by what means he was created but he was originally an experiment left behind to do the rest of Madaras work.
Also a theory of mine, white zetsu cells is hashirama, so black should be Madara's cells. I think the black and white zetsu being is something tobi created as a sidekick, and a companion for his space time jutsu. Madara created Tobi, Tobi created Zetsu.
Activating the rinnegan is by unknown means yet to be revealed but it is in fact the next step beyond the sharingan. Nagato is an Uzumaki, and Tobi claims to have given him the rinnegan this makes me believe he either A gave him Madara's rinnegan or eyes for that matter, the uzumaki can actually activate the rinnegan (which I don't think that is accurate but it says online he activated it but says in the manga tobi gave it to him), or C the next theory that a way to obtain the rinnegan is both senju and uchiha blood so my guess is he combined hashiramas cells and a sharingan together to create the rinnegan. That is also how I think Tobi's new six paths has one rinnegan. How can he have 6 rinnegan on deck with him????
I think some how through the rinnegan and Zetsu, Tobi and Nagato could use Nagato's Rinnegan and the outer path they could speak to Madara from the dead and move further on on the moons eye plan.
Tobi is not a character we have seen thus far, every character has referred him to Madara Uchiha and if he was some character all the characters would have figured it out.
I understand there may be some flaws in this logic I'm just thinking a lot and may be forgetting details to this its been thought out for a while now. :shrug:
