Only if you are concerned about missing 4px of the image off either side. :| But even then, you would have to resize the canvas after resizing the image. Seems like too much hassle.I can faintly see a dotted border around your avatar, I'm guessing where you are going wrong is that you are making the border the same size as your avatar. The dotted border needs to be larger, so you will need to make your avatar image 2px smaller than it is now and then make the border the correct dimensions.
so in short make the image itself 148x298, then make the border 150x300 then you will be able to see it properly![]()
With the current avatar he has then loosing 2-4px in width and height won't even be noticable tbh. His other option would be to remake it completelyOnly if you are concerned about missing 4px of the image off either side. :| But even then, you would have to resize the canvas after resizing the image. I know it's not. I just doubt anyone is that worried about 4px. But if they are, it's fine. I just think the extra time is more than it's worth.

this took me only a few minutes to add the dotted border. I made a new canvas with dimensions of 146x296 I added the avatar image and applied it. Next I created another new canvas 150x300 and added the new sized avatar and centered it, then I applied image again and stroked the applied image and done. Its not that difficult tbh, and I don't even make avatars
Here it is
