[Discussion] Strawhats need to step their game up really quickly

1- Jorah low diffed half of the crew including Nami, Chopper and Brook(who is in the mid trio) and only failed in the end because of her own idiocy and carelessness
2- Monet was handling entire G5 in PH, including Nami, Robin(in the mid trio) and Chopper by herself
3- Senor Pink(someone below Lao G) is matching Franky, someone just below M3 level
4- Lao G himself is currently having the upper hand against pointy Chinjao(someone who gave Luffy a mid difficulty fight without his pointy head). Normally Chinjao should still win this fight for logic-sake, but still very impressive
5- Gladius is currently portrayed to be around Lao G level if not stronger

And this is without including

a- Machwise who has been stomping some of the coloseum fighters
b- Dellinger who was stomping coloseum fighters left and right as well including the promising Blue Gilly and is currently dancing around Ideo, who was among the strongest in Luffy's block(with only Luffy and Chinjao being stronger than and Sai being his equal)

Not to mention the 4elite officers(discounting the fodder subordinates) and Doflamingo himself

As it stands the donquixote pirate crew are levels above strawhats pirates and would totally decimate them if they were to clash directly without plot, external help(like the troup of coloseum fighters) or things like this.

I think this is the first pirate crew that strawhats come across who are above them(even without their captain). And to think Luffy thought he could handle yonkous on his own Lol There is no doubt that yonkou crews will be shown to be even more overwhelming and stronger. No wonder Law said that a single pirate crew won't be enough to face a yonkou. All what it would achieve is to be decimated by subordinates instead

Currently strawhats needs much more crew members and powerful ones at that if they really want to stand a chance. An alliance(or even multiple ones) seem to be necessary unless they hope to receive multiple helps in every arc they will be travelling from now on

It's obvious that the Donquixote Family would wreck, as it is. Besides the Strawhats haven't gone all out individually in an ennies lobby situation yet. Until then we can't judge them. But even if we do, we have to take into consideration that this is the New World we are talking about. We have both powerful veterans and new super rookies arising every now and then alongside the Strawhats. It's a path not meant to be easy. v_v



Edit: And let's not count out the numerous allies we are going to have during this course.

Straw hatsbare max going to get 2 more crew members, stated by luffy wanting ten members. But yeah they need the last two to be on the level of monster trio.
My personal opinion though luffy can beat doflamingo high diff. We haven't seen luffy going all out since time skip. He was always outclassed at first, and then went on beating the arc's major villain.

No doubt he will win, but as it stands it looks like he will defeat a restricted Doflamingo. And the fact Oda has to restrict Doffy in order for Luffy to win is already pretty telling concerning his level

I partially agree that they'll need to do more. But mainly, the need to show more. I believe they are more capable than what they have shown so far. And also, the Donquixote family is a bigger and more experienced crew overall, so it was natural for them to outclass the Strawhats and that's not by far IMO. They aren't exactly negging them, you see. Strawhats are putting a good fight against them actually.

And with the addition of another couple of members + the allies...I think that they'll be covered plot-wise until the next possible Timeskip. v_v

They are only putting a good fight because of the amount of betrayals(Viola, Law,...) and dozens of allies they got. You really think they would have gone far if it weren't for the tontatas, Kyros, Law, Cavendish, Bartolomeo, Chinjao, Sai, Ideo and the other countless allies they got during this arc?
