Here to talk about who some people believe will become Strawhat Pirates: ( i have seen them all mentioned on the base somewhere) , this thread is to put my own views out there

Rebecca
Likelihood of joining: Almost certain
The crew needs another female nakama , the ration of 7:2 is a bit disproportionate , a female member would almost certainly have high probability , everyone said that the crew needed a female logia user due to the fact the crew lacks one (but has zoan and paramecia users) , this would expand the crews power even further.That is why lots of people suggested Monet.
Sadly we have moved on and we cannot be certain of her death or if she is still alive , and if she joins , she certainly will not be the tenth member (if she is even alive) , that is why i say Rebecca is a strong candidate:
She is female , and if Luffy wins the tournament he could easily give Rebecca the fruit as a welcome gift and reward for participation. She shares similar opinions on the strawhats enemies as the strawhats themselves. The fact she holds a grudge on Donquixote Doflamingo means he probably played a large part in another sad/terrible tragic backstory(all strawhats have one).
If Luffy does not win the tournament i do not think she will join.

Probability of joining : Low
The character Kinemon is quite popular and he has personality traits which fit in with the strawhat trend , he also had a sad backstory (kind of , if being parted from his son counts).
However Momo is really pissing off most fans

and if he is to join the strawhats ; there would be a lot of mixed feelings about it. If he joins , his father will , if his father joins , he will.

He did say he would be happy to join Luffy when he takes care of business at fishman island , he is a good friend and a great man , he was enslaved and therefore has the sad story with the ongoing positive outlook on life , he brings experience to the crew (along with brook) , the crew lacks a fishman , one of the few things it doesn't have
I hope he joins , but later into the series , maybe on a return to Fishman Island?

'Thunderous Soldier of Rage'

For those who don't know , this guy is the one legged soldier in dressrosa who seems to like the strawhats , he lost a leg (therefore he has the sad backstory , so many sad backstories) , and he is weird and wonderful , like every other strawhat to date.
He disrespects authority (world government and marines would also be disrespected by this top LAD)
but he helps civilians , and is sensible yet concerned for innocent civilians.
He is also humorous , he is a stereo typical strawhat pirate , lets hope he lives up to the fighting standards
