Strange stuff in 432

shikamarus dad appears to know exactly what sage mode is, the way hes speaking is as if he has encountered it himself.

And lets face it, it was jiraiyas trump card, he didnt flash it around or make it well known about sennin mode because others could find out and make tactics against it.

How does shikas dad seemingly know quite a bit about sennin mode??

i thought naruto's sage mode last long what will happen to naruto if his sage mode is gone

he knows what they do apparently, first hand too by the context in which the writing is put into the chapter.

Im wondering maybe the 4th??

But...meh....sounds too obvious to be him, who else could have had sage mode around shikamaru's dads era??

exactly, it's not copyable, and not everybody can do it so even do it's not secret, so few people can become sage and do, that it's not something that people talk about...

So, don't you think anyone knows about it?! Also jiraiya is a sannin and he is from konoha.
I think konoha's shinobi would have known about him.
You can say If he is sannin and he is called Sage then Sage mode is on whole other level Coz its the mode choosen by a sannin to master it.

I was surprised to see Shika's old man of all people aware of this also at first, but I'm sure many knew of Naruto's training at Myobokuzan and therefor also knew why he was there. Jiraiya probably didn't reveal or tell very many people about his trump card, instead I'm betting Fuka and Shima probably told the story to Tsunade and she relayed it to the upper-echelon shinobi that needed to know the situation, people like Kakashi, Choji's dad, Shika's dad, ino's dad etc all probably were aware of Sennin mode and that Naruto was training to obtain it.
