Strand of the Ancients

The Strand of the Ancients is a series of temples, ruins, and shrines along the shore of the Hokubu Ocean. The ruins here are unoccupied, and have been unused for likely over 8,000 years – well predating the Sage of the Six Paths. Yet, despite their abandoned state of affairs, the ruins seem to be untouched by time. While they are overcome by vegetation and sand from the beach, the ruins themselves are in remarkably good condition. The cultists directly to the East respect the Strand as a sacred site, a place that is forbidden to all except the highest-ranking cult members. Their sacred and nearly untouched status has given them an aura of divinity, leaving locals too fearful to go into them and occupy them. It is said that deep within one of the temples rests an ancient monster that guards over the Strand from all invaders. At very specific times of the day, when the frigid mists of the Hokubu Ocean are cleared, one can view an island in the far North from the shores of the Strand.

The Strand of the Ancients is a sacred landmark in Tobusekai and as such cannot be conquered, colonized, or claimed by foreign powers.

Landing ashore Desmond and company set foot on new land it appears that he is once again alone. Desmond utilized his byakugan to and noted all the lands features and people, he even noticed that deep below ground within one of the temples was a monstrous chakra signature and yet he felt he didn't belong yet that he did. Something about this place and the gem seemed to resonate with each other but he didn't want to stay in one place very long. With that being said Desmond wiped the man's memory of him and boarded the boat it was at this time the memories of the clone that was sent to Taki entered his brain. Desmond felt sad and angered at the thought and knew that the other clone most likely did his part as well. Signaling his crew they moved onwards though they had a feeling they would be back.

This post begins the start of a mission using the following elements:

Upon her arrival over the black ocean, the wyvern would lower its descent as she arrived at the designated location. She’s been traveling for a while, with her hair blowing in the breeze as she unmounted her creature. Looking around, the first thing she noticed as the light mist covering the terrain – which was a bit annoying to the eyes honestly, but never the less she continued to move through the area. “Where is he…” she muttered underneath her voice. It’s like she’s been walking for hours but has honestly been there for only a few minutes. It wasn’t until she felt Paradox via his Taijin.

The masked mentor of Mirabelle rose from her shadow, silent as ever. “Took you long enough…” the masked individual said with a smirk, but Mirabelle simply didn’t engage in his banter. She turned to face him, her eyes turned into the Falcon’s Eye as she was quite serious in this moment. “I’m not here for your games, Paradox. You said you seen her here, show me right now” she demanded but the masked man couldn’t help but shrug. Mirabelle wanted to see this for herself, thus he lead her through the area, until they stumbled upon one of the ruins. Outside of it, there was three individuals standing there. They were all hooded for whatever reason, but it made it easier to note who they are. Without a second thought she rushed around the corner towards them, bow in hand as she aimed at them. “Hoods down, now” she demanded them to do. The trio didn’t bother with the intrusion at first, but eventually one of them started to laugh a bit.

Have you come to pray to Mother today?” the voice asked, as the hooded figure turned to them. Underneath the cloak, dark amber eyes beamed towards Mirabelle. It took a moment but the cloaked woman would be stunned for a moment as she removed her hood. It revealed a gray skinned face, with amber colored eyes as red lines ran through her body akin to veins coursing blood through them. “Mirabelle…?” she said for a moment realizing it was her younger sister. Its been years but she recognized her almost immediately. The other two cloaked men simply removed their hoods, showing similar features found in other Children of Tiamat. “Carmilla…what have you don’t to yourself…” she asked, Mirabelle’s eyes started to water. “You sold yourself to these monsters!” she said.

Carmilla was immediately annoyed by her calling her cult associates monsters. “No, you’re wrong. We aren’t monsters…we are the beloved…we are the ones who believed we have wrong the Primordial Mother…”she said, relishing in the idea of Tiamat’s glory. However, this feeling of enjoyment quickly faded away. She remembered it was these people, ninjas, who sealed Mother away after she was freed. As Mirabelle readied a bow, Carmilla rose her hand as she erased the arrow from existence. “Stop it” Carmilla said. Mirabelle didn’t listen, despite not being surprised her sister managed to keep her connection to Wuji. “You’re no family of mine anymore, Carmilla” Mirabelle said in a very spiteful tone.

She didn’t care as much anymore; she was an enemy of the world. However if there is a way to save her then maybe, just maybe, she can prevent anything bad from happening more to her sister. Carmilla on the other hand, didn’t take those words lightly. “Family? You barely know anything about me…you let your sister and mother die that day…” Carmilla said in response. This angered Mirabelle, so much so that she charged at her but she was stopped when Paradox utilized his shadow manipulation to prevent Mirabelle from moving. “Don’t let her taunt you” Paradox said, but the masked man simply got a beaming look at him from Carmilla.

Oh, Paradox. So that’s how you managed to find me here…” Carmilla said, looking at the Nara/Hayabusa member. She sighed, realizing how much time is being wasted. “Mirabelle, come see me when you’re not basically at death’s doors” she said referring to her sickened state. “We’ll meet again very soon” she said as both her and the other two men disappeared in a poof of smoke.

Wait!” she tried to stop them but failed, their objective here was already accomplished. “Damn it!” she said, punching a rock and shattering it. She came all this way here only to be bamboozled. Her thoughts had her fuming for a moment, until Paradox tapped her shoulder. “We can leave now, I’ll try and find her again and…” but before he continued, she gazed off into the distance at the ruins. He turned his head to look as well. “The ruins here has been abandoned for many years…but its ran by the Mother Cult, so many don’t come here often, let alone venture into the temples”.

Mirabelle however had other plans, she started to walk to the nearest temple. “I don’t advice you going any further than that” the masked man said, but Mirabelle didn’t care. “My dragon will pull me out in few minutes as a safety measure. Don’t worry I wont take long” she said. Paradox nodded and simply followed behind her, merging into her shadow as she ventured into the ruins.

As she walked through them, she can tell this place is largely untouched by human activity. As she continued to wonder into the ruins, she collected bits and pieces of small objects like pieces of copper and silver. She didn’t know what they meant but probably can be sold for a good bit of money. “Does this place have some connection to Tiamat?” she wondered to herself as she continued to aimlessly walk through the ruins, hoping to find something.

( Kage Mane ) - Shadow Imitation

Description: The user extends their shadow on any surface to merge with a target's shadow, thereby forcing them to imitate the user's movements. The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to sustain; draining 10 chakra every turn, the user can only keep it active for a max of 3 turns. Opponents one rank and higher than the opponent will be able to partially resist the shadows, freely moving at half his speed while "captured".

Description: This is one of the fundamental Neidan techniques within the Hayabusa clan and the first one learned. This technique returns existence to nothingness/erases from existence. Using one of the three Dantian Hayabusa ninja render existence to nothingness. Depending on the Dantian that is used the user can manipulate physical, vital, or spiritual existence. Regardless of which application is used there are two components that can be utilized: internal or external. These two components describe the technique’s application to one’s self and outside themselves respectively. A Hayabusa ninja who utilizes the internal component with this technique manipulates their own physical, vital, and/or spiritual existence. One who utilizes external component does the same but with any entity other than themselves. Only one of the components can be used for any given application of this technique. As for the applications, only one can be used at a given time. Upon reaching higher jounin ranks (Dragon/Head Ninja and Master Ninja), Hayabusa ninja can utilize all three of the Dantian simultaneously to completely erase their own existence (internal) or that of another entity (external). When erasing one’s own existence with this technique the user can only maintain a state of non-existence for no more than one turn with and must re-appear within 10 meters of their original point. Once the user has gone to nothingness they cannot use any techniques until after they return to reality. Through the external component the user can erase the existence of another life such as summons or other shinobi though it requires prolonged contact with the target (3 turns). After contact is made the victim will begin to vanish from the ground up.

Lower Dantian: The Lower Dantian deals with physical existence. Entities such as solids and liquids, physical entities, and corporeal matter are within this Dantian’s scope. When using the internal component of this application the user is capable of erasing parts of their body as small as: bits of flesh and bone to whole limbs, organs, etc. This ability extends to physical afflictions such as poisons, toxins, pathogens and generally any other thing that integrates itself within the user’s physical being. When using this technique on the body to take off flesh and bone the user will feel as though their flesh and bone have been ripped apart and their body will suffer accordingly. For example: if the user erases their right index finger, they will feel their finger ripped off their body and will bleed profusely until stopped. The external component of this technique takes the form of transparent visual distortions similar in nature and appearance to the voids of kamui though with the ability to vary in shape and size. The shape and size are dependent on the rank of the technique. As well as the amount of matter in which one can erase is also dependent on the rank. Lower ranks means smaller areas of effect and less matter that can be erased. This technique has the ability to combat against techniques of equivalent rank or chakra input. With the external component, if anybody other than the user makes contact with the technique, they will suffer just as the user would if they used the internal component of this application. The external component of this application can be made within short range of the user but not the target unless both parties are in close range. Even then, the user cannot manifest this technique directly on their opponent without physical contact.

Note: This technique is learned at genin level and follows similar rules for each rank. Genin can only use D-rank applications, chunin = C-rank, jounin = B-rank (upper) A-rank (lower and middle), Dragon/Head Ninja = A-rank (upper) S-rank (lower and middle), Master Ninja = All ranks.
Note: Genin and Chunin are required to use 5 to 3 hand seals respectively for any application’s external component. Jounin require one hand seal, Dragon/Head, and Master Ninja can use up to B-rank with no hand seals. Contact between user and opponent requires no hand seals.
Note: When using the external component of the Upper Dantian, using the A-ranked and above will render an opponent comatose after two turns. C and B-ranks will simply render one unconscious after 4 turns. Each turn of maintaining drains half the original chakra cost. While maintaining no other application of this technique can be used.
Note: Upper Dantian usages, regardless of the component can only be used once every other turn. A-ranked and above usage requires a two turn cool down.
Note: S-rank applications of this technique requires a one turn cool down for the Middle and Lower Dantian.
Note: To erase completely the existence of oneself or of another the user must use 70 chakra. Unlike the external component where it takes three turns to erase another, the internal component is instantaneous in its nature due to a lack of resistance from the user applying it to themselves. Upon using this advanced application either internally or externally the user will be unable to use any Neidan technique for the next two turns. Dragon Ninja and Head Ninja can use this application twice per battle and Master Ninja 3 times per battle.

( Kagegakure no Jutsu ) - Hiding In Shadow Technique

The user can use this technique to hide himself in the shadow of a likewise hidden team-mate and providing there is a large coverage of shadow they can move within that shadow allowing for escape from a location.

Alucard had arrived at the Strands of the Ancients, a clockwork of ruins and a mecca for CoT cultists. Or so the rumors were atleast if they were to be interpreted fully. Upon glancing at the shores that revealed the Hokubu Ocean, Alucard noticed several abandoned shrines seeming untouched by the sands of time. It was very easy to presume that necromancy or rituals performed by cultists were in play to keep them like so, but it was just a hunch. Since he was on quite a kill streak and full of confidence even as he was still weakened by the Red Fever. He would still fight for his independence and wave the flag of Hellsing. Regardless, this landmark was already un-claimable but that didn't mean he could fight there. It was clear that that would be his fate too. At a seemingly random event causing the thick mists of the shores to clear it was possible to see far into the Hokubu Ocean. His Tenseigan would make this event be used at a more potential than that of the regular eye regardless and through his Dojutsu, there were thousands of chakra signatures. It would seem that the great Tiamat goddess had her spawns scattered at great lengths, mostly concentrated in the Tobusekai. Not just spawns of course, but also cultists. It would only be a matter of time before forces like these would all grow together and invade on all human life there was. A war would seem inevitable.

The ideal of my existence has never dawned on me. But if it was for warfare, god did something right i suppose..

Alucard viewed the creatures not as mortal enemies in despise of saving humanity, no, they were his natural competition. God only knew the apetite he had for.. humans. To let anything else pray on their fine meat was frankly unacceptable. But alas, it wasn't pure greed that was the results of his resolve against these heathens, but also for the parts of humanity - the lot he had chosen to save. It was affection too that made the call. Arms tall, legs spread out and with a stiff neck and an eye piercing every single soul in the sea. He readied himself for a battle, a battle in the name of Hellsing.

He started the assault on the un-organised fleet of children and cultists by using his gravitational forces to create a rain of asteroids that would smash into the ocean and create shockwaves that would form miniature tsunamis. Each consecutive boulder would bring down a handful of enemies.

( Tensei Kōu ) - Reincarnation Shower

Description: The user raises his hands and, using the gravitation forces, generates a moderately sized sphere out of nearby debris overhead, then thrusts his arms downward, sending it crashing into the ground like a meteor. The B ranked version is capable of causing moderate damage while the A rank version is enough to break through buildings.

As the armada took a dive in numbers their attention rose and would focus on their single target. Their dredgen bodies and unorthodox ways of manipulating life would soak through the shores as they mobilised and reached the land, aiming to consume Alucard and puppeteer him towards their end goal. Instead of seeing fear, he would instead make a grateful bow, taking off his hat and yellow-tinted glasses. And with two loud words he would shout.

Their responses would be on the polar opposite of a morale compass. Though a greeting would be given to Alucard, in the form of a barrage of jutsus. It was already known to Alucard what sort of powers his enemies possessed. The spawns of the goddess used their black and corrosive mud-like substance known as Sea of Life whilst cultists were using the five elements of Ninjutsu. Since the cultists were much closer to Alucard, their ninjutsu would enter his perimeter first and some of which would mobilize into close range fighters drawing swords the others would remain approximately 10 meters around Alucard. The spawns of Tiamat were still at sea at this point but closing in, fast. Alucard had to be on his defensive side as techniques rained in on him but he was patient. Patient enough to not just take jutsus down with a single technique but also a plethora of close range opponents. The dust release would never fail him - he thought to himself as he gathered up his chakra and formed a dome out of wind, fire and earth all combined into one Kekkei Tota.

Description: The user will expand a 3D field using their own body as a base for the expansion of the technique. This means the 3D shape expands around the user in all directions. Depending on the rank of the technique it will reach short(B rank, up to 5 meters around the user), mid(A rank, up to 8 meters around the user) and long(S rank, up to 15 meters around the user). Everything that is captured in the field(that has a cubic formation at the edge) will be disintegrated which will essentially rasterized the user away from their surroundings and leave them intact while everything around them is disintegrated. B rank can be used at all times, requiring a single seal. A rank can be used three times, once every second turn and requires two seals. S rank can be used twice, requiring a cooldown of three turns and requires three handseals.

Note: Can only be taught by Skorm.

The cloaked cultists looked at eachother but showed no fear as the ones with blades high stormed into the dome. Their swords would be a mere inch away, the jutsus the other cultists had released previously would race down across the ground. All of it was in the blink of an eye erased. The Dust release would carve out the ground around him, reduce all techniques and sword users down to atomic levels leaving zero trace of either. Alucard took a deep breath and exhaled calmly before installing his dead stare at the remaining cultists, all still arranged around him mid-range. It was clear that their strategy would not change keeping distance from him and volley jutsus towards him. At this point the spawns of Tiamat had breached the shores and formed a line. One particularly odd shaped spawn - with wings and red fangs was twice the size of the others and had apprehended a role of significance of sorts and appeared as a commander of their forces. Before Alucard or the remaining cultists would clash again, the odd one would form a large black smoke screen of violent nature. The cultists were still focusing on Alucard and knew nothing of their commanders efforts of erasing them along with Alucard, who was readying himself to pull out his Ninja tool - his only card to save himself from the technique.

(Heiruzu) – Vile Haze

Description: A technique cast on Sea of Life material currently on the battlefield, or from the user’s own mouth. The technique essentially converts Sea of Life material, in its mud state in either the user’s body or in the surrounding environment, into a toxic black vapor. The black smog, when produced from the user’s body, will fill an area mid-range around them. When used from Sea of Life material, the smog will form in a one range-radius larger than the applied quantity; for example, if the user uses this on a pool of Sea of Life that is short-range in radius, the vapor will fill an area equivalent to mid-range. The toxic vapor is remarkably hot, capable of melting solid matter although it cannot harm the user or their Sea of Life familiars in any way. It is extremely hazardous to living things not currently influenced by the Sea of Life, meaning other Children of Tiamat are immune to the effects of this technique. Vile Haze also does not carry with it the intrinsic properties of the Amino-Geis. This technique can be used three times per battle.

There were no screams, there was no time. The odd one had spoken. There was only boiling skeletons left of the cultists as Alucard raised his arm to create a large sphere of chakra essentially designed to consume the black smog and save him from its effects.

( Abusōbu Ude ) - Absorption Arm

Description: A cyborg attachment to the user's body, the user has a robotic limb that allows for him to create spheres of energy that are capable of absorbing chakra up to S rank level. These spheres are capable of dealing brute force on impact as well, growing to large heights, up to 4 meters in radius. Starting at roughly rasengan size, these spheres grow proportionally to the size of the technique absorbed. Normal Ninja are able to make use of one of these devices via specialized gloves that allow them to absorb 1 Ninjutsu per turn up to S rank while Cyborgs have these attachments and are able to absorb up to Forbidden powered attacks and 1 from each arm per turn.
Note: Can be used a max of 3 times for Ninja and 5 for Custom Cyborgs.
Note: Cyborg can have up to 2 Absorption Arms.

The odd one grunted as Alucard remained unscathed by its technique. It flapped its wings and formed two large arms on its back designed to make him into minced meat. With almost no time, Alucard would form wings on his own using his first Kekkei Genkai he ever absorbed. The Shikotsumyaku release. The wings would be formed from his own bones and while they lacked sails, they still carried him upwards just in time to dodge the odd ones grasp.

(Seimei no Umi: Jinsei no Tōtatsu) – Sea of Life: Long Reach of Life

Description: Derived from the Sea of Life, this technique allows the user to shape up to two autonomous arms from their backs. Formed from the Sea of Life itself, the arms possess a higher level of autonomy that allows the arms to operate entirely independent of the user but must remain attached to their back, siphoning chakra passively. The arms possess mid-range reach and, through the Sea’s extraordinary density, can smash physical obstacles, shatter bones, and overwhelm defenses with relative ease. The technique is naturally imbued with the Amino-Geis. Once per turn the arms can produce their own small blasts of Sea of Life material from their tips or hands, depending on how they are shaped. These blasts possess the same physical strength as the arms themselves. This technique can be used three times per battle, and last for three turns.

( Hone Tsubasa ) - Bone Wings

Description: The user grows large bone wings from their back which can be used to fly or to defend. The user can also flap these wings and release bone spikes once per turn. The wings last for 3 turns.

Alucard then used his wings to shoot projectiles towards the odd one and its minions and while it hit several of the minions, the odd one would simply knock them away with its extremely dense and massive arms. Alucard would fly far upwards, being hunted by the odd one who also possessed wings but was a much slower aviator. Using the speed advantage he had, Alucard would draw both of his hand cannons while flying upwards like a fallen angel.

(Gōruden'naitomea) - Golden Nightmare

Description: The Golden Nightmare is a sword made by parts of reinforced steel and liquid bismuth. This makes the sword able to shift in construction and turn into a hand-cannon due to the liquid parts of the construction. It will either start as a sword or a hand cannon at the beginning of an encounter. Both forms gives the user an enhanced passive trait to the bisumaton release, increasing it's damage by +20 and giving it additionally +10 chakra through a designated seal that is passively activated when it's master is either holding the blade/handcannon or has it sheathed. The seal fluctuates bismuth chakra through its masters body constantly and gives them an extremely faint rainbowy aura(which is just for visual effects).

Sword: The sword form is very beautiful with multitudes of colors and shining edges. The edge of the sword is partially liquid bismuth and partially hardened steel. Due the temperature of liquid bismuth the sword will inflict severe burns on contact with skin and cause great pain. It further enhances the swords cutting capability since it can melt away other elements(within reason, but rubbery and bouncy for example) that are in the way of the sharp steel. If placed on the ground with the hilt upwards and the edge planted in the foundation of the ground infront of the user it will release a large portion of liquid bismuth into the ground that will shape into half of a sphere. Using their ability to control the element, the user can then shape the underground sphere into large roots or trees around the battlefield that deals burning damage on touch. These roots can reach long range while the trees(depending on their length) can only reach mid-range. This causes S-rank damage. The trees can spread and create a miniature forest(about 30 meters big and 10 meters tall), entrapping foes. On touch it causes severe burns. While not dealing 80 damage on freeform, the sword can be used for standard kenjutsu techniques with the burning damage added to it. The user can, however, do freeform 80 damage kenjutsu moves but that will consume a moveslot.

Handcannon: The handcannon form of the Golden Nightmare is like the sword, very beautiful and contains the exact same parts as the sword. This handcannon can fire rounds made out of liquid bismuth. On impact, the bullets will not pierce their target but rather splat on the impact surface and spread across it. This causes severe pain and if shot on a limb it will immobilize it the metal is quite heavy. One single shot can spread all across a regular human-sized creature's torso all the way to their back and thus immobilizes their spine.
Regular gun rules apply and only one round can be shot each time-frame.


Note: A bullet and the sword does 80 damage following the S/W of Bisumaton and up to four bullets per match.
Note: Changing form of the sword costs a move-turn and the user must state in the beginning of a battle what form the Golden Nightmare has taken. If not, it's default as a sword.

Note: Utilizing the roots/tree application of the sword renders the user incapable of using the sword's other active abilities in the same and next turn.

With a single round from Golden Nightmare hit, the odd one would lose speed dramatically as the heavy liquid metal would be splashed all around it. It was glorious.

So.. this is how it feels for a bird to take a shit on someone..

However, seemingly unaffected by the damaging effects of the bullet, the odd one would shoot projectiles from its autonomous arms who had just recently tanked the effects of the bullet Alucard has shot. These projectiles were stronger than any of the techniques Alucard currently could use. It mattered not to him though, he had a plan B. All he needed to do was to destroy the techniques enough that his enhanced bones would be able to take on the rest.

Description: Derived from the Sea of Life, this technique allows the user to shape up to two autonomous arms from their backs. Formed from the Sea of Life itself, the arms possess a higher level of autonomy that allows the arms to operate entirely independent of the user but must remain attached to their back, siphoning chakra passively. The arms possess mid-range reach and, through the Sea’s extraordinary density, can smash physical obstacles, shatter bones, and overwhelm defenses with relative ease. The technique is naturally imbued with the Amino-Geis. Once per turn the arms can produce their own small blasts of Sea of Life material from their tips or hands, depending on how they are shaped. These blasts possess the same physical strength as the arms themselves. This technique can be used three times per battle, and last for three turns.

Alucard would use Skorm's Bow to fire explosive rounds. These rounds were enough to shave off almost half the individual techniques damage and through Alucards Yin infused skeleton he had been acquisced through Ghoulspine he was able to take on the hit.

Description: Skorm’s Bow is a heavy-duty modernized high caliber chakra gun with blood/black thorn patterns and a red glowing holster. The gun has two types of rounds it can fire but both of them are purely composed out of lightning chakra. The gun has two different types of rounds that are all loaded in the magazine at all times but cannot be fired more than once per round. The first round is called explosive rounds, dealing 80 damage in total but is split into 40-40 whereas 40 damage is inflicted on contact where the bullet actually lands and the other 40 damage is spread up to mid-range in an omni-directional burst where the bullet ended up. This type of bullet is made up by fire chakra.
The second type of bullet is the armor piercing bullet, consisting of typhoon (or wind if the user cannot use typhoon) chakra it is extremely sharp but also very small. This bullet causes 80 damage and can penetrate up to S rank targets which are neutral to typhoon/wind. Up to forbidden if weak towards wind or typhoon. This bullet will continue through a target unless they carry armor(up to A rank) and hit whatever is behind it as well(directly behind that is and in the bullets trajectory).
Note: Can only be taught by Skorm. Each Bullet can only be utilized 3 times each.
Additional effects and Restrictions:
If the user specialises in the CFS, they will receive be granted extra shielding against not just against additional elements but also mind altering techniques and have any technique that hits them be debuffed and loses one rank in potential(this is due to another prospect of Yin release that makes debuffs applicable through either chakra tethers such as hungry ghost) In this case it is the complex formation of Yin shielding that is circulating across the users skeleton that creates this debuff.
Additional restriction is that the visual genjutsu effects only takes place once the users skeleton has touched them and infused them with their chakra.

The odd one grunted with impatience as Alucard would use all of his might to destroy its arms and through two bullets of Skorm's Bow and Golden Nigthmare the deed would be done. At this point the two of them would be hundreds of meters above sea level and the rounds would blow up the odd one to pieces and rain down on the battlefield eliminating not just the odd one but the remaining spawns of Tiamat that were staring up on the sky. While not ALL were hit, the others would retreat far into the ocean. Alucard landed moments later after diving like an arrow, bringing the remains of the odd one with him. It was a burnt out hollowed corpse - or a nice touch of his Hellsing banner he would continue to fly as he marched along the coast further into the wild Tobusekai.

As Mirabelle and Paradox continued their adventure deeper into the ruins, they really couldn’t find much answers to the lingering questions in their minds. Only subtle drawings of humans and text they cant translaste. “I think it’s time we left…I need to go back to the Hayabusa Village for a moment” she told the man hidden in her shadow. “Very well, but in the meantime I’ll continue to seek after your sister. She must be stopped at all costs” he said as he dematerializes into shadows. Mirabelle sighed, knowing the day she had to face Carmilla was impending. Never the less, she walked back out the way she came and back out the ruins. Having lost interest in them, she hops onto her Wyvern summon and ascends into the skies heading West.

Certain rumors the Spider has heard bring attention to the Strand of the Ancients, where the Voidlord Nefarian may have last been seen. Visit the Strand; but be wary, shadowy agents of forces unseen may scout the area.

Even before he took a single step within the region, Emiya approached this assignment unlike any of the others thrust upon him by the Spider. There was a prickling sensation creeping down his spine as the coast came into view on the horizon, along with the ancient congregation of ancient temples, shrines, and other various structures that, while overtaken by the elements, and nature, still stood proud. A testament to their creators that's for sure, whoever they may have been. Every step was deliberate and cautious, while his head was kept on a constant swivel. The information that a Voidlord could very well be lurking within one of those structures was enough to keep Emiya's "flashy" heroics to one side, as he tentatively approached the distant ruins. Rocky badlands with overgrown grass stood between him and the cover of the many ruined places of presumed worship, and while he was careful, Emiya recalled his encounter from not mere hours ago, how he believed himself safe in enemy territory, only for the territory itself to be revealed as his enemy's plan.

Any number of traps or systems could be in place around this apparently deserted location, so Emiya decided he would take a chance, and attempt to slip in through the use of his Prana, which he had steadily been relying on more and more in recent days, growing more confident in his ability to properly wield the paracausal energy, rather than his previous experience working with False creations that merely mimicked Prana, and all it entailed. The risk was that traversal through the unseen ocean of energy created both audible and visible cues upon reemergence, though he already had a way to counter one of those risks. Looking off into the distant structures, Emiya focused on one of the larger, taller ruins. As he did, he began releasing supplemental sound waves from his body to form a bubble around himself, creating a void where sound could not enter or exit. Once the sound nullifying field was set up, the Prana dormant within his body was instantly activated with a burst of Chakra, sending him through the extra-dimensional plane of the Throne. As he hurtled towards his distant target, he felt the cold embrace of the alternate plane of existence chill him far more than any threat of a Voidlord ever could, it's distant, indifferent energy passing through him as though he were not there at all. Suddenly he emerged from the silent sea of energy, stood atop that ruin he spied, before immediately crouching down low, unsure whether or not there was anyone around to notice the faint azure flash of light that burst through reality immediately before his arrival. His acoustic barrier was seemingly still in effect, so the crackling pop of the veil between dimensions had been silenced thankfully, though he was still only getting started. He'd only truly arrived in the Strand itself after all. Now he simply had to go about confirming the rumors.

Description: This technique is based off a interesting concept known as the " " or "Dumb Hole". The user starts by gathering Sound Release Chakra either in a specific part of their body, or throughout their entire body. The user then releases this Chakra in the form of a "bubble" around themselves which can be as large or as small as they wish, but it's size is restricted to Short Range of themselves. The bubble consist of high frequency, low energy sound waves, which vibrate at an extremely high frequency, so any noise that the barrier makes is above regular hearing, but this also creates an interesting effect. As the sound waves are vibrating at a higher frequency than most other sounds, especially those that are not created as a result of Sound Release, they act like a barrier for all but the most powerful Sound Waves, making it impossible for sounds from outside the bubble to be perceived inside the bubble. This applies in reverse too, making sounds from inside the bubble impermeable from the outside.

In addition to acting like "soundproofing", Dumb Hole has another application, which is far more violent and destructive than it's more supplementary application. By compressing the same high frequency, low energy Sound Release Chakra anywhere within of short range from the user, the user is able to create a much more violent, but controllable Dumb Hole, which visually resembles a Rasengan, that acts like a Black Hole for Sound Waves, drawing in any Sound from the immediate vicinity and trapping it inside the Dumb Hole. Once the sound Chakra is trapped within the confines of the dumb hole, the user is able to use their own Chakra to amplify and change the Sound trapped within the Dumb Hole, changing it into a sound wave that has low frequency and high energy, or in other words, destructive qualities. Once the user has changed the sound so that is able to act like a destructive Sound Jutsu, they aim the Dumb Hole at their designated target and weaken it's surface, causing the sound waves trapped within to violently burst out in the direction of the designated target, releasing them in the form of a destructive wave of Sound.​

Description: Considered the father technique of Era of Gods and Dynasty of Kings, Epoch of Titans uses the Surge of Evocation's ability to teleport objects and Surgebinders to the Throne, and return them to the field.

The Wandering Sea - Bending Space

The user, instead of applying this technique to their own body, can manifest Prana around any object or feature of the terrain to teleport it to the Throne and return it immediately or with a delayed timer. The teleported object can either reappear in a new location instantly, in the same manner as the user's own teleportation, or the user can set a delay of up to four turns and it will return on the first turn after the said number of turn elapses (e.g. a delay of 4 turns, the casting of this jutsu counting as the 1st, means it will reappear at the beginning of the user's 5th turn). The user can also create a technique or familiar with an aura of prana, which can only take affect in the same turn it is created, that allows the technique to teleport itself to a new location. This applies to virtually all type of jutsu except those which are streamed, as the user would find themselves unable to progress to this technique before the other reaches its end. This application occurs in the same timeframe as the jutsu cast and offensive jutsu teleported in this manner must reappear a minimum of five-meters away from any opponents unless the user is also within short-range of that opponent, in which it must reappear at least one meter away. The user cannot teleport any object or jutsu to or from a 1-meter distance from any opponents. However this entire variant cannot be applied to the opponent's jutsus which exceed B-Rank in chakra and it cannot be used on Noble Phantasms or Custom Weapons.

The Everlasting Heaven - Warping Time

This variant involves surging a large amount of Prana throughout the user’s body in order to enter the Throne. Their body, and everything on their person, will disappear instantly in a flash of light reflecting the color of their Prana. The user will then reappear amidst another flash of light at a location of their choosing. If the user reappears within less than a meter of the opponent, the opponent can react with any instant, passive or freeform or chakraless technique. Reappearing is accompanied by a crackling sound, creating both an audible and visual queue. The instant use of this technique, which doesn't take a slot in the timefreame, is enabled by the fact that the ethereal energy already exists within their chakra systems. Thrice per battle the user can utilize a stronger version of this ability (S-Rank) to prolong their stay in the Throne. This allows them to exist within the alternate dimension as Prana, which effectively places their body in a stasis. This halts blood loss, the propagation of poisons, the duration of active techniques/abilities, and any other aliments or conditions. This will happen for as long as the user is within the Throne. The user can only remain there for a maximum of four turns per usage. The first application, considered A-Rank, can only be used once every three turns. It can also only be used four times per battle. The second application, considered S-Rank, can only be used three per battle and operates on the same cooldown as the A-Rank version. S-Rank applications render the user unable to use S-Rank or higher Prana for the next turn, if the user remains in the Throne for longer than a turn.

While the sonic barrier was helpful in keeping his own movements silent to everyone outside the minuscule radius, it also kept Emiya blind to anything happening within the immediate vicinity. With it's primary function achieved, Emiya dropped the barrier and began stalking the ruins for signs of life. Though it was completely overgrown with blooming plant life, thriving even this far east where the sands radiated enough heat to fry an egg, showing how resilient the plant life around here was. Thick, heavy roots and vines erupted from the ground millennia ago, warping and distorting the ruins, yet they remained almost pristine, like the rumors said. There was an almost divine air of protection here within the Strand, protecting it from the elements, and time. This eerie phenomena was most likely why, despite being perfectly livable, not even the most desperate of refugees sought shelter here, as there was something simply odd about it. It might have been superstition, or even intentional rumors to ensure no one would come here without a direct purpose, in which case the presumed present Voidlord, Neferian, could potentially be using this place as a naturally empty base of operations. A sinister thought to be sure, but complete conjecture until he saw any sign of another person.

Creeping like a shadow from one ruined temple to the next, Emiya searched and searched, but found no signs of life anywhere. Well, human life that is. Upon inspection of a smaller building, most likely a personal quarters from the humble size and lack of any religious iconography, Emiya disturbed a rather large swarm of bats, causing them to rush out of the room en masse, bringing with them the scent of dust and decay, as well as a minor jolt to the Hero of Justice's system. Though it was only the biological reaction to a glorified jumpscare, Emiya was more concerned with anything that may have taken notice of the disturbed fauna. Taking a moment to regard his surroundings, he seemed to be alone, but there was a nagging sensation that he was being watched, stalked even. But after several moments of no shift or change in the surroundings, he chalked it up to simple paranoia. Carefully he continued to wander the ruins, that same feeling rising until he heard something. A branch snapping, or a foot slipping on one of the vines? It didn't matter, what did was that he was being stalked. Panic began to set in as his heart rate began to rise. The sound of it being audible in his ears, all while afraid he'd wandered right into another Voidlord's path. He tensed his arm, before whipping around with violent, reckless abandon, yanking the string of his bow as he knocked an arrow, then loosed the projectile off into the darkness where he'd heard that sound resonate from. Moments passed, and there was no indicator something had been struck, when suddenly a piercing cry shot him like a bullet, as some kind of leopard ran out of the shadows, and began sprinting off into the distance. As Emiya breathed a heavily sigh of relief, he was glad that, while he was technically being hunted by this beast for the first proper meal it'd have had in a while, he was also glad he aimed higher than the apex predator's ground-hugging form as it reared up for an ambush.

"Silly cat... Almost gave me a heart attack."

Continuing at his slow, steady pace throughout the ruins, Emiya realized he'd been stalking through the Strands many ruins for an hour or two at this point, and aside from the local wildlife, there was nothing to truly indicate another person even visiting these ruins in decades, if not more. He was beginning to think Spider's intel was either wrong, or he'd sent him on a fools errand on a whim, just to see if he would go. His earlier caution seemed absolutely unnecessary, so Emiya approached the remaining structures with a more casual mindset, remaining as quiet as reasonably expected, but not actively hiding in every shadow to search every building. As he approached a ruin much like any other, suddenly the ground began to shake violently, as the faintest sounds of something could be heard coming from beneath the ground. As Emiya began to wonder if he was truly alone here, suddenly a familiar sensation washed over him. He was being watched. Unlike with the leopard, which felt like more of an itch crawling up his back, this was an assault on every fiber of his being, an all-encompassing sharp static that overwrote his basic senses, and made it hard for him to even breathe. While the quaking coming from the earth was most likely the result of some beast, this sensation was direct, targeted, solely focused on him, rather than the universal rumblings from the earth. He was being watched, and not through some form of passive perception. Frantically scanning the surrounding area, Emiya saw neither the source of the dreaded feeling, nor the apparent watcher themselves, and as another quake made it's way to the surface, Emiya reasoned there was no way he could handle this alone. Immediately dropping any and all pretense of stealth, he activated the Prana in his body once more, instantly teleporting far from the ruined Strand, and immediately began a hasty retreat. He didn't even know which direction he was headed, all he knew was that there was something within the Strand, and that something was watching him. Whether they were the same beast, or there was indeed a Voidlord present within the region was a discovery that could be made at another time...

Madara and Akujin continue towards the Sunlit Forge, pausing only momentarily. Akujin informed Madara of a message via one of the communication scrolls he had handed out to Susabi. The message was short and direct, inquiring about what Madara had learned regarding the God Child.

Madara relayed the information to Akujin, telling him what to send back to Susabi. There wasn't much to reveal so far, only that the Child wasn't traveling with the teen who was his guide anymore and that a fight had commenced where Emiya had suffered near defeat if not for the Child itself. More interestingly enough, the Child was now in the protection of others stronger than Emiya was and that the one who fought him was named Demetrias, one of the powerful Voidlords connected to the undead roaming the earth.

As Akujin detailed all of this, Madara stopped to check the map Lucifer gave him once more to ensure he was on the right path. Seeing that he was, the duo took off once more after the information had been passed to Susabi.
