Storyboard Submissions

Storyboard Elements
Description:
Here is the thread for all player-submitted Missions. Submissions are graded based on narrative relevance, effort, and cohesion--not so much word-count, though that is sometimes an accurate gage of one of the criteria: effort. Elements from the Storyboard list can be chosen as well as custom ones to be created ad-hoc by players. Each rank of Mission carries its own levels of completion required as well as rewards proportional to the chosen rank.

  • D-rank: 300 Kumi | 4 EXP
  • C-rank: 500 Kumi | 6 EXP
  • B-rank: 800 Kumi | 8 EXP
  • A-rank: 1,500 Kumi | 10 EXP
  • S-rank: 2,000 Kumi | 12 EXP
EXP Is not always rewarded, but Kumi is always guaranteed. This does not make EXP a rarity, but your missions must show clear growth and usage in certain areas of your characters and also utilizing one's actual abilities well to overcome the narrative obstacle. It also helps to show a clear struggle, an uphill battle as you will that your character endures and will in future have learned from the Experience. EXP is also rewarded more often when engaging with the main story and acknowledging and engaging with other peoples' journeys.

When submitting a mission players can type in which specific field they want to develop and gain EXP for when writing their story. This has to show in their story.

Training Missions

When submitting a Mission with the intention to "Complete" training (bypassing the training grounds) for a field that requires it, you should clearly link in "Additional Information" to the ability you have purchased and/or the approved biography. When writing this story, there should be clear reflection of one's understanding of it and also correct examples of technique usage interwoven within the narrative - a grader may request additional storyboard submissions if your initial submission does not show enough; to each graders' discretion. Kumi and some EXP will be rewarded so that you may gain access to some techniques right away.

Co-operative Storytelling Bonus
To promote characters engaging with each other and plots not connecting and being isolated, there will be additional rewards for Missions submitted with multiple players involved. When players do Co-operative storytelling and have clearly shown to both put effort into it, they will earn a 20% reward increase in Kumi and/or EXP.

Anti AI Clause:
As much as I am aware of the current base’s utilization of AI and its users’ usage of it to steal artwork; I am against it and as long as I’m overseeing the NW I will not tolerate it in your Mission Storyboard Submissions. If you are caught utilizing AI Tools to write or supplement your own Missions, your Biographies will suffer Death in the NW during their adventure, then they will be moved to the declined section and you will be banned from the NW for an Arc. Repeat Offenders will suffer further consequences.
