Here's my prediction for what I think might happen or would be interesting to see for the story:
Team 7 launch an all out assault towards the Juubi.
Everyone else keeps fighting the minis and the fodder will be fodder.
Naruto and Sasuke reach the Juubi, and succeed in pissing it off a bit.
Meanwhile, Kakashi continues to use Talk no Jutsu on Obito (It's super effective)
Sakura heals people and remains relatively useless.
Hinata says more inspirational things.
The Juubi is officially annoyed at Naruto/Sasuke, and moves to its final form!
Its final form reduces its size to about that of a person, while gaining ridiculous amounts of strength. (Final fight would look better if Naruto can actually fight it...)
Realizing they no longer need a barrier the size of a village, the Hokage release it and join the fight.
Hashirama goes to fight Madara, while the others attack the Juubi.
*Intense fighting ensues*
Meanwhile, Kakashi suceeds in convincing Obito to abandon the dark side, and he returns to the light side. They warp back to help out.
With all the hokage helping, the fight against the Juubi is going well, and Hashi is slowly defeating Madara.
Realizing he's now alone (Obito came back), Madara makes himself the Jinchuriki of the Juubi, ascends to god-hood, and proceeds to wipe the floor with everyone.
Minato gives Naruto the rest of the Nine-Tail's chakra, making him ridiculously strong.
*Final Boss fight occurs*
Looking bad, until Orochimaru and Tsunade show up and pull off some secret tag team Sannin thing, weakening Madara, and probably dying in the process.
Naruto wins, he's a hero, etc., etc., etc.
Rather than become Hokage, Naruto disbands the practice of the Kages, and instead appoints himself, Sasuke and Sakura as some sort of council to lead the leaf.
^That's what I think may or may not happen. Opinions, etc., are welcome! Although...
BETTER ENDING: Team 7 attacks the Juubi. Sakura dies. Juubi, Madara and Obito surrender, knowing that the world now finally has peace.
