well story/plot goes to naruto and one piece is just by a length of needle behind while char. dev. of side char. to onepiece and of main char.s to naruto.

All I see are fanboys, who know and understand little about story and character development. And are comparing a series that took 600 chapters to complete its part 1... to a series that did it in 200 chapters.

Naruto's main character has more development. Same for Sasuke/Sakura/Kakashi... The whole team 7 has more development than the strawhats.

You can't compare 2 different types of series. One piece is a light heartened series, while Naruto is more deep.

Next you guys will be comparing a 50 chapter manga to One piece....

All I see are fanboys, who know and understand little about story and character development. And are comparing a series that took 600 chapters to complete its part 1... to a series that did it in 200 chapters.

Naruto's main character has more development. Same for Sasuke/Sakura/Kakashi... The whole team 7 has more development than the strawhats.

You can't compare 2 different types of series. One piece is a light heartened series, while Naruto is more deep.

Honestly, the reason why Im still reading Naruto is because of the 5 kage and Oro, everyone else seems to bore the hell out of me currently but thats just my opinion

One Piece isn't 100% light hearted they just have funny momments here and there

A person who plans on destroying a Sky Island
People who have been shot on the spot just for looking at someone funny

Sorry, the main character doesn't bother to take sh*t seriously. Only reason I read one piece is because of his Father and the Revolutionaries and the whole Younkou /W.G/ Revolutionaries. Everything I have no interest in.. current arc = boring.. but just my opinion.

Light hearted doesn't = no depth. Simply means those aren't the main focuses .. Why? Because One piece is still in the transition phase that Naruto went through to shippuden.

Naruto would be a much deeper story than it is now.

However, Kishimoto has to answer to his boss....his editor-in-chief. Which is why most of our favorites like the Konoha 11 don't exactly have the best character development in Part II.

Bigger plot does not = good plot.
