Suiton As a born member of the Gyojin clan Gandalf has a natural affinity towards Suiton. Under the training of Edward. Gandalf came to master Suiton to the extend where he became able to use it with only a single hand seal. His rigorous training and own bloodline brought him to become one with water. Doton Through intense training and his own experiences Gandalf became proficient in the use of the Earth Element. The element is even part of his Kekkei Tōta, Alcohol Release. Gandalf is capable of using earth techniques with faster hand seals than most shinobi of his rank. Shuton During his time in Otogakure Gandalf had come to learn of his own advanced bloodline ability. His was a rare form of bloodline inheritance called a Kekkei Tōta combining Water, Earth, and Fire. Under the training of Nathan Gandalf learned to harness this ability and with Nathan became able to use Alcohol Release, or otherwise known as Shuton. A potent and complex substance Alcohol Release both intoxicates enemies and provides supplementary uses for the user themselves. |

| Background Information Gyojin Island Born on Gyojin Island, Gandalf from a young age showed a promising interest in peace and wisdom. From an early age his parents had him able to read efficiently in many languages before he was allowed to begin to train as a ninja. By the age of five he was capable of reading and writing in three languages and his knowledge of history could expand all the way back to the legendary days of the Sage of the Six Paths. Having a strong knowledge in history led Gandalf to move past ideologies and bloodlines allowing him to see paste hatred and to have a much wider sense of the world as a whole. By the age of eight Gandalf began to train in the Ninja Arts and quickly discovered his affinity for water which, while unrefined, was equally rooted in his personality and his blood as a Gyojin. By the young age of fourteen Gandalf developed a wanderlust which would soon lead him to leave Gyojin Island in order to seek new places in the world to expand his knowledge and wisdom. With a heavy heart he left but promised to still maintain his ties to his family and friends there. Beginning his journey on the sea Gandalf would learn to live off the water and become one with it. Coming to an island where he met Edward. he would learn how to use chakra to manipulate and control water to his own needs. His mastery over the element would soon become apparent to Edward. who continued to train him eagerly. After two years the training had been completed and once again with a heavy heart Gandalf had to say goodbye to his new friend and mentor. Continuing on his journey Gandalf would come to the Amegakure. While here he would come to learn of the Rain Element in which he learned how to manipulate it for his own uses building off his own love of water. Gandalf continued to travel for many years throughout the lands he encountered. Each time meeting new friends and foes and acquiring more knowledge of the world. By the time he had reached the old age of sixty-five. By this time Gandalf would see a message in the sky from a hooded figure calling forth ninja to rebuild the Land of Sound. Gandalf had been wandering for most of his life acquiring knoweldge of the world but had no purpose. Nothing to apply himself to. Finally, an opportunity had come to show his love of the world and rebuild a land that once was oppressed. Sound of Death Shortly after hearing the message Gandalf made his way to the Land of Sound to help their recovery from the cruelties of Orochimaru and his followers. Upon arrival he made his way into the heart of the village where he met his companions and Erzo, the Otokage, and swore himself to his service and the village. During the months after the reestablishment many foreign ninja interfered in Otogakure including the infamous leader of the Akatsuki and many Konoha Shinobi. The Akatsuki's leader herself had come to Otogakure to hunt down bounties on ninja that deserted Kirigakure when Erzo's message appeared in the sky. Lili-Chwan arrived near the village’s bar on her parrots to search from him, Moxxi, and Method. She had no interest in destabilizing the village itself and as such Erzo was safe from her hunt. However her actions indirectly caused the village pain when she captured Moxxi and killed Nathan and Method. Gandalf took great sadness in seeing his companions taken and killed by the grips of war and despair. Shortly after the disruption in the village Erzo organized the ninja of Otogakure in order to make a retaliatory effort against Kirigakure. Gandalf unfortunately did not possess the training needed for their mission. By this time the war against Kirigakure had ended uneventfully. Erzo and his fellow Otogakure ninja had returned from Kirigakure. Their mission, while not a complete success, had secured the safety of the village. A New Home The strain of the war with Kirigakure and the Akatsuki’s meddling had taken a great toll on Otogakure. After some time had passed Erzo had felt it was best for him and his fellow ninja to disband and end their efforts. Once again Gandalf was left without a home. However, he already had a new home in mind. On the day of the disbanding he began to make his way to Konohagakure. A new chapter in his life was to begin… |

| Additional Information 賢 Intelligence →Gandalf's great intellect comes from his preparation before battle. During his travels through many villages and towns he commonly came in contact with many shinobi with various types of abilities and bloodline traits. Gandalf always keeps himself as familiar as possible with abilities such as the Sharingan, Byakugan, and other common strategy and abilities. His calm and collected demeanor allows Gandalf to create powerful counterattacks against his foes. He is well versed in history with knowledge that spans back to the ages of the Sage of the Six Paths. チ Chakra → As an old and experienced ninja Gandalf has come to have highly precise chakra control. His own Kekkei Tota, Shuton, is a combination of three elements all of which require great chakra control to manipulate. As such through his training and experience Gandalf has come to be able to switch between elemental natures with great ease allowing him to chain techniques with great skill. 魚人 Gyojin → Gandalf is a naturally born member of the Gyojin clan. The clan stems back from long ago before the birth of nations. The clan itself is heavily rooted in its manipulation of water. As such Gandalf has a natural affinity towards Water Release techniques. Gandalf is a Mizuchi ranked Gyojin member and as such shares some of the basic abilities of the clan. Gandalf, despite his age and appearance, has great physical strength. He is two times stronger and one and a half times faster than normal humans which plays in part to his use of Gyojin Karate, the clan's fighting style. Gandalf has a naturally occuring mucoprotein around his skin that is common to fish which protects against bacterial infections and is also a natural insulator. Gandalf is also capable of breathing underwater and moving with incredible speeds while in the water. In addition he has an uncommon resistance to D-Rank water techniques. Longsword Gandalf carries with him a normal longsword at all times hidden under his cloak. While the longsword itself boasts no special abilities or qualities it does offer him versatility with kenjutsu in close quarter confrontation. The hilt is a equipped with a regular crossguard. While strong for close quarter confrontation it does make it difficult to draw for swift attacks, unlike a dagger.

Gandalf is equipped with a pouch of ninja tools strapped to his left thigh under his cloak. In it are shuriken, kunai, senbon, flash bombs, smoke bombs, wire, and explosive tags. Metal Rods Gandalf also carries five metal rods. Each rod is cylinder in shape and is about 3 inches long and .25 inches wide. They are made of polished iron. One end of each rod is sharp while the other is flat. Two are present in each of Gandalf's sleeves and are readily available in combat while the last one is in his ninja tool pouch. This is a multipurpose tool and weapon.

Since even before joining Konohagakure after the demise of Otogakure Gandalf unknowingly carried the Will of Fire in his spirit. His belief that true love, understanding, and decisive action can achieve true peace throughout the world. He will fight to protect this belief even at the cost of his own life. The will of fire is an idea taught to and carried by all members of Konoha. It is the belief that only through love, understanding and decisive action can true peace be acquired, though never by attacking others and rather by protecting something the individual holds dear. The belief is a spiritual heritage that was created by Hashirama Senju and passed down to all the villagers and shinobi of Konoha. Shinobi who carry this belief love the village with all their heart and will fight to protect it even against the most significant odds. It gives them the strength to keep going even when the situation looks grim. When defending the village the Will of Fire gives the shinobi of Konoha the extra strength needed to defeat the invading forces and the will power to continue the battle after receiving damage, ensuring the Will of Fire is never extinguished.
