Let me guess...The combat is repetitive because there are no overly complicated unnecesarry combos that you won't be able to use in 99% of situations when you're fighting a good opponet wich don't do anything special except having unusual animations wich aren't even that good like in Tekken or Mortal Combar? This game is a lot more advanced on other fields tough because it gives you a 360 enviroment, ability to break out of combos wich make a difference in button mashers and the fact that you have support characters that can bail you out.
