[Naruto Game] STORM 3! Unlocking Optional?

If I have save data of Naruto Ninja Storm 2 and Generations, the game will automatically go ahead and complete half of the character roster for me before I even start playing. This is totally ridiculous and I want to know from someone who has the game, is this an optional thing?

It's just, i'm paying £50 for a new game- I WANT a new game and not just some lame update of the last 2 I played.

You're better off letting the game fill half your roster from the start.
You'll only unlock about 10 completely different characters (excluding the alt. war costumes), since the rest are pretty much the same since Generations.

No the game don't suck at all, just because it unlocked half of the characters for you, you still can do the full story mode and everything else. Having the characters unlocked don't change a thing but one thing which is "You have unlocked -name here-" and so on. It's not a big deal...

Hey don't get bitchy at me...I'm not hating on the game I haven't even played yet, I am just asking a question christ.

How would you feel if you bought a Mario game and because you've played a Nintendo game before it goes ahead and jumps you right towards the last world? You'd feel rightfully cheated. Deal with it.

You can't do it, and I suggest you listen to everyone else. It's just Generations 2.0 with 17 or more new characters a fresh story mode and some roster cutbacks.

The amount of time you can play the game hasn't changed... like I said even though they are already unlocked you still can do the story mode. Having them unlocked first don't make the story mode easier or shorter now does it? To be honest the only difference is that you can go online a bit faster which if you don't want to then don't go ahead and do the story mode nothing has changed.

That's the thing though having extra characters unlocked does not cut down the amount of time you can play on any part of the game.

Wasn't Generations another update to Storm 2 as well? This was to be expected.
But for real, try to face the facts...

...and deal with it. We're all gonna buy it anyway.

I know it won't be that good but I also rarely ever buy new games so this is like the only upcoming game i'm somewhat interested in for like the next 2 years...

You're actually not even working for them. To unlock the characters you pretty much just have to beat that character. There's pretty much nothing special you have to do besides play single player and team battles. I got Tobi(war generation) before I beat the game.
