The Storm games are a dying fad, and it's because they keep re-using the same tired ideas.
I dont know what your smoking bro, but these games sure aint a "dying fad". I think most people here forget what these games are all about, yeah sure, we all want certain characters playable. Yeah sure, its a bummer that instead of more slots for actual characters we get costume slots and pts characters. But online play was NEVER the Storm series strong point in my opinion. Its a fun fighter, but the online play is full of unbalanced characters, glitches, limited uses, and spammers. As someone said in a youtube video regarding the online players, "You will not have fun in ranked matches. The online community doesn't play for fun, they play to win. And they intend to win whatever it takes".
The heart of these games has truly always been reliving the story through an engaging, cinematic way, that frankly the anime has been lacking with for a very long time. You guys keep looking at the very MINOR negatives such as the Edo Kage being supposedly unplayable (the game hasnt dropped yet, I know some people got it early, but until its either CONFIRMED or you play it for yourself chill about that), and the 7 swordsmen, but they're still in the campaign at least as fightable opponents. Another way to look at it is your getting more content than the anime will provide for a long time. The animation is top notch, rivals the anime right now. And the anime is going into another month of filler next week, RIGHT before Madara is shown in the anime. Theres a video on youtube by Ps360 right now of Naruto vs the Jinchuriki boss fight, so right there the game surpassed the anime by at least 2 months. This game, while my have its faults, is going to kick ass, and the storm series will continue to kick ass with cc2 developing them. I understand that some people only like to play these games for the online/fighting mechanics, buts its for that reason that secondary games like Generations exist.
