I have no problem with someone disliking or liking a character but atleast have legit reasons for disliking them.

Well if someone dislikes a character for X reason like they don't like their personality or how they are portrayed then that's a legit reason.If someone goes "I hate such and such because they suck and I'm right therefore everyone else is wrong"then it's not a legit reason.

Flame wars are sometimes extremely funny. And hey, some fanbases don't hate one another. Most Rock Lee Fanboys are also Maito Gai, Neji and Gaara Fanboys as well. Deidara fanboys are usually buds with Sasori ones. But there sure is a lot of fighting. I dream of a day that the Naruto Base Forum system is abolished and we can once again understand each other. Understanding one anothers emotions, pain etc. Then peace will be born.

it's one thing to be passionate about something you like, it's another to be so emotionally invested in a bunch of made-up characters

i'm passionate about my job and the ppl close to me (b/c it's real), not a bunch of made-up cartoon characters

yea but for me its different. the only thing that is close to me is this Otaku stuff. Not my fault cause I'm terrible at making convos with what people who are friends to me talk about. I just can't say anything unless it's a comment.

it's not hard being social

there are a lot of ppl who share your interests, make friends, it's not that hard
