Because they've had many experiences, been through several stages in lifetime and have made some accomplishments, however little and/or irrelevant they may seem to others. They've made contributions to the society that the younger generation are currently a part of, so their respect in my opinion is indeed deserved. This is an anime/manga forum, I don't see being a member for years as anything to be elated and boastful about.

Take all that and apply it here. The thing is that most 2014 members behave like conceited retards who think they have#sweglvlover9000! simply because it's something new to them. It has been happening for years and it will continue to happen. Once the new guys spend enough time here and mature... they will do the same to those of 2015 and after.

P.S. Did I forget to mention most of them are prepubescent?

IP Statistics prove that many, if not most of those very 2014 members that behave like 'conceited retards' are actually old members on alts they've made. But yes, these new members that aren't actually alts will eventually develop forum maturity.
