madara and nagato did same thing here but look nagato has caught jinchuriki not a tailed beast with the help of gedo mazou and hashi sage mode.

Madara is far more superior in the rinnegan techniques. Only madara and the sage unlocked it. Nagato doesn't suck with the rinnegan he has proved too be a very strong foe. But madara at this point is the master of the rinnegan

Nagato's Rinnegan skills would be much greater if he wasn't emaciated. It's also possible that Nagato used Hengoku off panel. Not even Madara has come close to truly mastering the Rinnegan. Also, this overconfident, manipulative, power-hungry monster doesn't use the Six Path Jutsu as often as Nagato which I think is stupid considering the amount of techniques he could do in 1 body simultaneously.
