Should stem cell researchers be able to use stem cells from aborted babies to cure diseases?

-- people who donated their bodies to science

Please dispel any harsh accusations that researchers and developers ONLY use stemcells from aborted feti. While I can't deny that they would use aborted feti to stem cells, this is a very insignificant percentage.

Cancer can't be cured since its just a general term. There is no one specific disease called 'cancer' rather there are cancers of different parts of the body. Cancer treatments vary based on what organ/muscle/bone its affecting. There may come a treatment that works for different types of cancers but there will never be one blanket treatment.

The only problem I see is some people will find it morally "wrong". However, this is just some and a very minimal amount as well. If abortion is allowed [I'm Pro-Choice], then Stem Cell research should be alive as well. It is a fetus until it is ready to be born or is born itself in my opinion. We should take advantage of what we've got to develop cures, help people and animals alike and learn more about ourselves.

*Stem Cell Research.. Extraordinary. Heck, maybe we'll find out how to move a developing fetus from one person to another [keeping it alive] to avoid abortion altogether [not necessarily through Stem Cell research but studying a "dead" fetus could help with this.

still all those types of cancer work similarly, some cells die, and they kill cells in they vicinity. i'm no expert and i never learend medicine but this is how all cancers work no?

the cure for caner that they work really hard on finding is how to kill only the cells that are cancer and not the other cells. like if you have liver cancer how do you kill only the dead cells and not the healthy cells. today we just blast everything and kill many healthy cells and hope we get rid of the cancer before we kill the patient.

OT: i believe that it is more morally right to save lives then to respect the dead.
