Steel Release (Koton) is the KG and superior counterpart to Earth Release. Its the use of Fire and Earth to create a metallic substance which can be manipulated both directly from the user's body or the ground.

I need it for my evil plans . Well, actually I plan to get it for my Kakuzu bio but first I need to get acquainted with the jutsus. Also, a big part of me wanting to learn it is so I can have an extra skill to pass onto students.

Fire and Earth, using them both in a different way to the one used to create lava. The fire creates a blast furnace-like effect which smelts the earth into steel.

3. Yes, Hiruko is the one who uses it, he used it via the Chimera Technique, to change his chakra type to Steel, Dark, Swift and Storm.

Now, can you tell me what steel release is strong and weak against?

Steel release is strong to Earth since its harder than it, strong to water because it can dissipate the force of incoming waves and strong to Dark because it can't be absorbed.

Its weak to Lightning as the element's penetrative capabilities allow it to blast through steel.

Now I want you to sit down and start to focus your katon chakra in one hand, and your doton chakra in the other. Then slowly mix them together to make a small amount of steel chakra then we will move from there.

Detail is the key, explain to me how you're mixing your chakra's together and how it makes you feel. Go.

After sitting down and entering a meditative-like state, I envision the ferocious and scorching nature of fire whilst focusing my superheated katon chakra to my right palm. Simultaneously, I imagine the sturdy and durable nature of earth whilst focusing my doton chakra to my left palm. Slowly, I attempt to merge these two chakras into one in a specific ratio to create a certain composition. Rather than using the katon chakra to melt the earth into lava, I attempt to use its sheer heat to act as a blast furnace, strengthening the earth and forming its superior counterpart, Steel.

(Kōton no Jutsu ) Steel Release Technique

Description: Allows the user to, through the use of hand gestures, produce small objects, pillars, weapons, etc, made of black steel, from their body or from the earth. The constructs are as hard as a normal kunai and swords and can be thrown at a target physically.

As you tell by now. There has been only one technique that has been shown in the anime; so Scorps thought it would be a good idea to expand an underused KG, which is awesome. Anyway; similar to Earth release technique. Pretty much the same thing apart from the swords and kunai that can be throw or used for hand to sword combat, and the hand gestures part, that also differs from the earth one.

How you would use it in battle: Mostly to aid Taijutsu by creating small extendable weapons from my body
How you would counter it: Low-level Lighting, Fire or Wind.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):*Focusing my koton chakra into the earth, I generate a small pillar of steel which projects me into the air. Whilst airborne, I focus my steel chakra and produce a kunai directly from my body (as a separate usage) and toss it towards the ground.*

Description: After 1 handseal (Bird), the user is able to produce a black steel net from his/her hands, which can be thrown towards the opponent to pin him to the ground.

Okay so perform the single seal, your steel chakra will produce a black steel net thing from your hands, use it on my clone that is near you, this technique is good since it can pin and trap them to the ground, and you can follow up with another attack, the range is a little iffy but then most battles are from mid-range.

• 2. Not particularly useful in combos or when used on its own

How you would use it in battle: Always in short-range, if I manage to get it off I could have my opponent contained in a solid net of steel.
How you would counter it: Destroy it before it captures you.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): *After performing a single handseal, I focus my koton chakra to my hands to generate a basic "fish net". After doing so, I toss it towards my clone and capture him inside.

(Kōton: Kase) Steel Release: Shackles

Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user does 2 handseals (Bird+Ram) focusing chakra beneath the opponent, shaping the ground into several (up to 5) shackles that shoot up to grab the enemy. The shackles are linked to chains that remain connected to the ground. Once they grab the opponent, the user can clap his hands, forcefully pulling the shackles and chains to the ground, effectively pinning the opponent to the ground, restrained by the steel chains.

Again, just perform the required seals. Start focusing your steel chakra below my clone; and by using shape manipulation on the said ground below create up to five black steel shackles that will grab hold of him and keep him in place, so if you chose to create five, two can on on his legs, two on his arms and one around his neck, but it's all up to the user. You can then clap your hands causing the shackles to pull back forcefully that are attached to chains and ceasing all movement in my clone, so you can use another attack similar in a way to the net.
