Star Wars Episode 7

Disney has purchased Lucasfilm for 4 billion dollars.

George Lucas has been the owner of the franchise ever since it's founding days, until now. Disney now has all the rights to Star Wars, and has now set a release goal of 2015.


This just happened a few hours ago, but it's all over the web. All websites are reporting this, and apparently, this deal has been years in the making.

george lucas has set up a masterstroke deal, good on him

They're actually making VII, VIII, & IX which were originally written with the first six. They follow Han and Leia's son, Luke. I'm cool with them being made, but it seems inappropriate that Lucas won't be in charge of his brainchild.

Oh yeah, Lucas originally planned 9 I believe. Anyway, he's going to be an advisor in all of this.

current sytem gets currpot and tehres anotehr up riaseing? they could do what tehy did in the comics
