Chapter 2: Home Sweet Home
She then proceeds to yell in my face and try to push me but ultimately fail, her slender body and girlie posture doesn't allow it. But she continues to keep trying until Z calms her down. After everyone is all settled down, she begins to speak.
"I'll have you know I'm 16 years old. I don't need a babysitter, I should be the babysitter!" She says, triumphantly.
"Well, do you know what we are? What we do?" Z says, menacingly. It seems he's trying to freak her out.
"You said you were going to 'gather people like you' so I supposed you guys were special too, amirite?" She says, with a smirk. "Well I'm pretty special myself, watch closely."
With a quick glance at her she completely disappears. I then see Z, struggling to stand. It's like gravity just got stronger. He then falls to his knees before finally laying on his stomach. The pain on his face looks unbearable to say the least. I walk over to him, pulling him up on his feet. My powers counteract hers, which then makes her reappear.
So her power, is gravity? Interesting. Although Z could've counteracted it with his psychic powers, he didn't. What a nice guy.
"So, how was that? Can I be on your team now? Or am I still a 'little girl'?" She says, grinning.
"Okay, I get it. You're powerful and all, but is there a weakness to your ability? Like a cooldown or time limit of some kind?" I say.
"Not one that I've seen, no."
"Oof. You're in. Kinda cute too by the way, just saying. Hi, I'm Z. 17. Single and ready to mingle."
"I'm Gray, or Adam. Either one is fine. I'll let Z have you. I'm already hooked, sorry."
"My names Jade, and I already hate both of you."
After exchanging greetings, "The Outsiders" ventured over to Sara's. On the way there it was getting pretty dark so we just camped out. Z had a hard time starting the fire so we just layed in a pile of sticks, which wasn't a bad idea at the start; but when we all got stuffy noses and itchy throats, we never did it again. The trip took two days, which was surprising since me and Z made it in about three last time. Z and Jade had been talking a lot so I just minded my own business, since it was obvious they were gonna be love birds. That's almost exactly how me and Sara started out. By the time we got over to Sara's she was working on the farm at the warehouse. Walking over to her was refreshing. I hadn't seen her in a couple of years, so I was obviously nervous. Looking at her long brunette hair, and hazel eyes just gave me a flush of red across my face. I knocked on the door to let her know I was coming in. When she saw us, or me to be exact; she sped over and hugged me so hard I lost my breath.
"Oh my gosh, I haven't seen you in what, 3 or 4 years? It's been so long! you even have a little silver goatee going on!" Sara said.
"Well, you know. 18 years old, I should have a beard, right?" I say, blushing.
"Alright guys, let's not get to lovey-dovey. I don't want--Jade, Right?"
Jade shakes her head.
"Yeah I don't want Jade getting jealous now, ya hear? Tone it down a little." Z says.
We all share laugh at Z's horrid joke and take a seat on the couch and watch some old movies on the DVD player. Z makes some jokes about how bad the movies used to be, even though all of us know they're better than most of the trash of today. Thanks to the nearby dam, we have power rooted up to the warehouse. Sara was actually the one who hooked it up with her power. Her power messes with electrical currents. We honestly don't know how it works, we just go along with it. We all sit there for the rest of the evening. My dog Roco, A German Shepherd-Chow mix, sat by me all night long. It was to see him again, since that's the only thing I have from home; and the only thing my father left me. As night grew near, everyone went to sleep. Tired and groggy from the trip, I yawned and layed down.
"Ahh. Home sweet home" I say to myself. I turn of the tv and wait for sleep to embrace me.

"Y-You wanna join us?" I say, dumbfounded. "Aren't you a little young to be around here all by yourself?"
