I think kimimaro has a connection with the sage elder son and I think that's why juugo see's sasuke as another kimimaro( this also might prove sasuke will get the rinnegan/elder son eye)

Kimmimaru abilities relate more to the Senju side than the Uchia side in my opinion. But they do have the same makeup, it's probably a tradition thing or something
