He is in ASSJ mode not Super Saiyan 2 ASSJ is a 1.5 multiplier onto SSJ while SSJ2 is a 2 times multiplier onto SSJ so Gohan takes this

Seriously, did you watch/read Dragon Ball? Spikier hair doesn't mean SSjin 2. He was just in SSjin form. His hair seems to be spiky because of his base hair.

MSSjin Gohan would still rival and would be close to MSSjin Goku, who was above SSjin Vegeta who was as strong, or a bit stronger than SSjin Trunks. Gohan would take this fight.

In that particular fight, when he fought Cell in the future, he was in just SSjin.

Nope, he was in SSjin, in that fight. But he does use SSjinG2 (Grade 2), and even SSjinG3 (Grade).

Actually now i think about it. Gohan might still win. (assuming is still has the same level of strength he had before he got angry against cell)

SSJ Gohan was stronger than Goku who fought in the cell games, Who was in turn stronger than everyone else there. In Fact to Gohan it looked like Goku was holding back.

So as long as Gohan is on par with his teenage self, he can pull off the win, Only problem is gohans fighting style isn't that great.
