It looks like they're going to bring back SSG mode for the tournament..

It fits too because he would need to conserve his strength for this tournament an in god mode he has perfect stamina, less strain more control an his body as far as kia control an is alot linear than his bulkier SSB form given him more fighting time..

Plus!.. Goku has been in god mode before so he should be able to hold this form alot longer then he did the first time..

Read the spoilers long ago, and agreed that Super Saiyan God definitely comes in handy for the tournament over the usage and drainage of Super Saiyan Blue, due the longevity of the transformation alongside Goku having to reserve his strength before reaching the final participants (especially Jiren).

Definitely helped a ton in the Super manga during the Universe 6 & 7 Tournament, alongside Vegeta with his battle against Goku Black.

Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Blue) is essentially the matter of usage, with Super Saiyan God being better fit for longer fights without having to drain your ki entirely.

I think Goku is beast STYLES my man.. It's just that they nerf him so much so that opponents have a chance at fighting him, it makes him look trash when we know what he's been through an the power he should have compared to others..

It's most-def the best form to take in a battle royal situation. If he can out last his opponents then it's an almost for sure win for Unv 7..

If Vegeta manages to unlock it as well then it would be overkill..

Why didn't he use ssjg (red) before in the anime?

For example vs the trio de dangers or Kale?
He went blue there instead of conserving more stamina with ssjg.

Maybe it's a typo and they mean ssjblue in the spoilers?

I think it would be nice to see ssjgred again though.
If they give good explanation of course why he didn't use it before in the anime.

It's about damn time.
The manga has put both SSG and blue to very good use making them both relevant without breaking power levels too much.

Glad to see the anime using it against instead of completely ignoring it.

Well I was leaning on the side of him not wanting to use others for their power to reach that state again.. Remember he told Beerus that he didn't like the mode because he didn't reach the pinnacle on his on..

Entering that state on his own is what he wanted, not a hand out..
Goku is a prodigy in some ways an him being in god mode only made him want to reach that state on his own..

The first tournament, he was pushing himself hard an even using Kaioken on top of blue.. I believe he knew he was on the cusp of his transformation an is why he's using Blue so much, he was Preparing his body for his limit breaker, SSG mode of his own powers..

Well he is the main guy of the show an I know it's unfair to other characters but it's really always been that way because he an his race are the only1's who really have the means of getting stronger, unlike the earthlings he's surrounded by..

Vegeta & Gohan should've been developed more an perhaps with time they will get their respected power ups as well..

They brought Gohan back to the fighting arena so the next arc could be focused on them getting their power boosts...

Fingers crossed on a new arc an them focusing on Vegeta/Gohans power though..

I was too an still am.. At first I thought they were going to have him break a new mode before Goku did..
It would've fit better because if Gohan transforms after Goku then his limit breaker won't seem as powerful in comparison to Goku's who is in god mode..

No Whis never said Goku is or will always be stronger than Vegeta as far as i know. Vegeta trains more and harder than Goku. By the way Goku does the same training too ever since DBZ in other world.

Yea that was some garbage on the writers part for Goten&Trunks.. They could've brought them in alot sooner an not have them so far behind.. Agreed though they do need their own arc to somewhat show them catching up in power to the rest, plus they're entertaining..
