I am watching 4 of the spring season anime and will give my summary/input on them below. The order i place them in doesn't signify anything.
1. Hataraku Maou-sama! (Aka, The devil is a part timer!)
This anime is just a comedy that i decided to pick up just because....well, its comedy lol. The anime centers around Satan and the Hero who, back in their own world fought against each other. After having been defeated, Satan retreats to the human world where he can no longer perform magic and decides to play by the human worlds rules until he is able to regain his magical power in order to return to his own world. In the four episodes released so far, the translated manga chapters have already been reached and just about left behind. I would recommend this anime to anybody that wants a comedy without the over the top "fan service" that many anime have been throwing out lately AND because it has some pretty amazing facial expressions
. Watch the opening and decide for yourself whether you want to watch it =D
2. Attack On Titan
By far one of the best action/Shounen animes this year. If you haven't already started watching this, watch it! but be warned, it is a very bloody anime and the first episode really sets the tone on what to expect. So far there are 3 episodes with 2 of the 3 episodes being more of the characters back stories. Read the manga if you cant wait to see what happens next or just check it out every Sunday. Here is the opening.
3. Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai 2 (Aka Oreimo season 2)
Started watching this because i was a fan of the first season. This entire anime basically centers around a brother helping his adult game loving sister out with her problems. 3 episodes have been released so far with the 4th one on its way. I recommend this anime to people who enjoyed the first season. Once again, here is the opening.
4. Date A Live
Started watching this because....well actually i don't really know why lol. This centers around female characters (so far) coming down to earth and causing "space quakes" thus endangering the lives of people. The only way to stop them? Have a dude (aka main character) make the female characters fall in love with him.
One thing that's been bugging me about this anime however, is the dating simulator aspect of it (hence the name date a live) it just seems out of place to me and doesn't really add anything to the anime. I would recommend this anime to anyone who has watched "The world god only knows" simply because they carry the same basic idea. Here's the opening for those who are interested.
Feel free to share your views on some of the new anime and if you have any spring 2013 anime recommendations, let me know =D
