I'll get to the chase.little theory i'm thought of.....I believe Rikudo (hagoromo) fought the Juubi twice! because When they revealed on chapter 646 They showed a Juubi in its first form(possibly) and Rikudo without a sword( unless the viz translation fixed this possible mistake, i don't have viz so im sorry if i get this wrong)

However, In Juubi's debut he appears to be in a "final attack form" and Rikudo is seen wielding a sword! So i believe the second encounter rikudo finally defeated the shinju and so on.

I notice the sword is different as well... well different from the one Obito wielded and basically made it seem fodder

I think, The sword rikudo is wielding is probably nunobuko, obito is just imitating the real sword.. .just like the staff and stuff.
