I think not for a very long time like 15+ years luffy has to meet his dad or end up fighting him. Get to the one piece after beating the Four emperors. Deal with blackbeard and that other pirate alliance. Theres just so much oda can write about

Why would he fight his own dad? It seems like he doesn't really care that he has one but that will change once they meet face to face.

Yes there's a lot but you have to realize that we're progressing quite nicely with the recent alliances/expected revelations of emperors. 8-10 years should do the trick, a TS should be expected during the 6-8th year.

I originally thought that OP would last another 10-12 years, becuz it took 10 years to reach the red line, but at the speed the manga is currently going I predict about 7-10

If I recall correctly, Oda stated that 597 was half way and that took him 15 years. We should get about another 460 chapters which should take around 9 years

but I think OP won't finish in under 500 chapters because we have way more that has yet to happen than has already happened

I just want to be able to share it with my kids one day. It came around the year of my birth, it may be the only thing that wont end before Im an old fart.

That's so nice, yet so depressing. Something from your childhood continuing into adulthood? Kinda nice, could be creepy depending on what it is. Having to go through the weekly pains for a notable period of your life? <_<' Bummer.
