Why do you feel the need to hate on Sarada? What has she done wrong? And her goal is to become Hokage which Boruto doesn't want to be. She's the best candidate so far

I guess it's just symbolic of his prodigious nature like Sasuke and his tenacity like Naruto. He's like a mix of both of their characters. Also respects their strength and wants to surpass them, so I guess wearing their stuff is like acknowledging their greatness.
As a side note: I wonder why does it look like Itachi's Akatsuki headband? Naruto didn't scratch that thing perfectly through the middle. It looked like that in 699 too...weird.

Not hating just stating the obvious, he's clearly the one doing the surpassing of his father and master. It's being made clear that Boruto is on a league of his own for his generation, every other kid is tiers below him. Yeah she's the best candidate for Hokage given that Boruto doesn't give a shit about it and that Salada is just a Naruto fangirl, it's what makes her strive to want to become the Hokage.

I agree. Sarada won't really be as huge of a character as many expected. Even in the Gaiden she seems to be a secondary character. Her character is just ok, nothing special.
