For the record, there were no Threads like this when i was constructing this thread - so please excuse me if i am repeating what others have already stated.
Izanami takes a picture of the time that it was activated in - the time the Jutsu caster has trapped his victim - and then allows a battle to continue within the mind of the victim - it then traps the victim in the loop of that reality - with that reality then comes the choices that Kabuto makes, if he chooses the path that Itachi has designed for him then he may be released.
Reminds me of the tale of Promethius - every day at the same time an eagle would come and eat out his liver - it would then grow back and be eaten again at the same time.
Kabuto is stuck in a time lapse where his horn is constantly being chopped off and can therefore be stuck in an infinite amount of pain.
As well as this, Itachi seems to be able to reach Kabuto's inner thoughts while he is under the Jutsu meaning that he can negotiate the ending of the edo Tensei.
I would also like to know your opinion on the time span difference between Izanami and Reality - Is it similar to Tsukuyomi in that 5 seconds in reality could be over 1000 replays of the same illusion?
Also it seems that Itachi has lost his vision in his Left eye
Does this mean that his left eye is reserved for Izanami while his right might be for Izanagi?

Will Izanami eventually take his right eye too, just as Izanagi took Danzo's multiple eyes every 60 seconds.
