No. At least I don't think so. Aizen wanted to destroy the Soul King, but the 'leader' or 'king' of the Vandenreich does not seem to be the Soul King.

Also, why would the Soul King decide to annihilate Soul Society? I can see no clear reason for the Soul King to do so. Even if that were the case, don't you think the Zero Squad would have shown up instead of these Quincy Hollows? The Zero Squad will probably make an entrance (seeing as this is the final arc) but they are not these Vandenreich Quincy's.

I think the Vandenreich king is probably a very, very bitter Quincy leader who in Quincy tradition wants to take out Soul Society so his empire can become stronger.

We know the zero squad members are on a higher level then the SS captains but probably not stronger then Genryuusai. I mean he's a man who has been Captain Commander for thousands of years.

Through common sense they would not promote every single strong Shinigami that came along into the Royal Guard. In order to maintain balance they would have to leave behind someone powerful in a position of power - in this case, Yamamoto.

The Royal Guard is in charge of protecting the Soul King, so obviously they are comprised of people who are strong enough to do that. By my guess I'd say the members of the Royal Guard are stronger than all the current Captains except for Yamamoto and Unohana (Yup, I'm an Unohana fanboy, sue me). Of course this is only speculation.

They are superior to the Gotei 13 in the sense that they have more important responsibilities.

Why would Ryuken and Ishida turn on their friends just because a group of new Quincy came along? That makes no sense

Ishida, especially, has been through a lot with Ichigo. There may have been some malice early on in their relationship, but now they are practically brothers in arms.

I agree with you. On the other hand perhaps when they gave Ichigo his powers back that could've crossed a line. I highly doubt this but would be a nice twist.

Anything is possible, but I highly doubt that Squad Zero would set out to attack Soul Society just for restoring Ichigo's powers.

If it wasn't for Ichigo Soul Society wouldn't be standing and the King's Realm would have been invaded. Ultimately, Ichigo assisted the King's Realm just as much as he did Soul Society
