Anyway, he's surprisingly turning out to be somewhat interesting, but hey, I have a soft spot for prodigies.

I don't think they are rivals dude. Since its obvious Kishi ended that rivalry with Sasuke and Naruto. When they gave Baruto there signatures. She is more or less a side chick, who is in the team of Boruto to countribute like a normal ninja. (Possibly his future love interest.)

Maybe she may not get any OP moves, but what if she is more skilled in the basics... Like basic substitution, or actual ninja stealth skills... Or she just got moved that aren't as flashy as Bolt

For some reason the Kanji read Battle comrade, but was translated into rival.
