It was pretty much said or proven that Minato had SM Here:

if you really think about it.

I guess when they had mentioned that Naruto had surpassed Minato and Jiraiya, they meant in terms of SM only.

So I guess that would also mean that out of the 3, Minato's SM is less effective (SM Naruto > SM Jiraiya > SM Minato).

That would also explain why we haven't seen him use it until now (Even though we haven't seen many of Minato's fights anyway) because it isn't much of a boost to his base abilities, or he has a hard time handling SM.

Either way, what do you think?

I think its SM Naruto =/> SM Minato > SM Jiraya

Him having a less effective Sage Mode could be possible but it still came out of nowhere.

Minatos sage mode looked similar to Narutos. Meaning its perfect sage mode. If it was imperfect he would have looked more toadlike. He only had the eye markings. Hes a perfect sage. Sm Naruto=\>\< Sm Minato > Sm Jiraiya.

He was harmed but not yet defeated. Fact is only juubi jins was able to hurt Minato..lol Minato solos ur fav..deal with it!

How did his Rasengan hit Kakashi? Did Madara controlled the Rasengan or did it just flew around?

Even if it wasnt as effective there is no reason for him to have not used it in this War Arc up until now... Its a nice find... but come on Hashi activated SM really early... what is the point of him not activating it until now... I don't think Kishi planned to give him SM, otherwise he would've used it way earlier.

By feats:

1. Madara Uchiha

2. Obito Uchiha

3. Hashirama Senju / Minato Namikaze

So I highly doubt he's a failure, more like the complete opposite lol. But thats your opinion of course
