Now that maddy is a woman, it kinda just trashed his character as a whole. He didn't even see it coming, oh well in the end i guess he was just a pawn. Its Official madara is now my least fav uchiha, now that i know the extent of his character. Sexist,Arrogant,& childish as obito stated for toying around instead of ending problems at hand.

He didn't explode.. he literally turned into Kaguya, that was Black Zetsu covering him when he was fat.

Yeah, hate how Kishi is developing this story.... completely rushed and throwing all sorts of villains into the mix with no real reason. Why kill of Madara?! I would have been happy with the manga finishing after Obito dying... and then developing on the naruto vs sasuke final battle.

Exactly, he expanded because of the massive chakra intake and flex then Black Zetsu attached to him and covered him. The eye panel shows BZ going over the eye, it then took the form of Kaguya. It was like how Obito almost exploded at the start of becoming the Juubi Jinchuuriki.

but those big fleshes OUTSIDE of zetsu says that Mad has exploded. Also, if you look carefully, you will see that madara's eyes are being destroyed and the black theme behind it are the face of Kaguya which in the next panel it (kaguya's face) turns white with her own third eye, not Madara's third eye
