Hiruzen is a Hokage, I don't think anyone underrestimates him. He is just not as strong as Hashirama and you can't deny that. In his youth he was even more powerful than he is on the anime and as we've seen he's pretty smart. No wonder why he was called "The Professor".

Sure, Hiruzen can crack the roof. But you he will never be at Hashirama's or Tobirama's power level.

I agree with this post. The crack was more likely created by chakra of both Hiruzen and Orochimaru clashing with one and other. I doubt it was purely Hiruzen. He's strong and all but I doubt his chakra levels are outrageously over powered like Hashirama and Tobirama. I'm leaning towards the fact that it was created by both clashing because of the position of the crack, dead center between the two.
