Gai opening 8 gates in the next manga seems unlikely though

Naruto Chapter 424
Apparently somebody who works in Jump leaked this on 2chan.

In the mountains, Naruto and Fukasaku are still training, this time they are training on ground but using shunshin and sage mode; the landscape around is completely destroyed and there are huge craters around.

***asaku: With the increase your abilities get in Sage Mode, combined with this Taijutsu you've almost mastered, you will be very tough in close combat. However, long range may be a problem.

Naruto: (With my new jutsu, that's not a problem)

***asaku: I've got something more to teach you. It will somewhat fix the long range problem, it's a space-time. Hiraishin.

....

A shot of Kakashi with his Mangekou Sharingan activated, and his forehead above it with a long bloody gash, and the upper part of his ear missing.

Kakashi: Managed to use the Mangekyou Sharingan just in time...

Pain: You are just delaying the inevitable.

Pain raises his hand, and hundreds of small rocks start to float, the rocks take the form of spikes, and they are all shot towards Kakashi. Then a wall of shadow appears between Kakashi and Pain, blocking the spikes; Shikamaru and his father have arrived. Behind them, comes Ino and his father.

Chouza: !

Chouji: Shikamaru! Ino!

Shikamaru: I'm not going to let Akatsuki kill any more of my friends.

Ino: Chouji! Mr. Akimichi! I'll take care of your wounds!

Pain raises his hand again, and this time a whole house begins to float; Pain throws the house at Kakashi, the Akimichis, and the Naras. However, in mid-air, the house breaks into pieces.

???: Dynamic Entry!

A full-page panel of 6-gated Gai kicking Pain, but pain with his arms crossed blocking the kick while struggling. Last panel a shot of Pain's face, he's angry, and Gai reflected on his rinnegan.

i have to disagree a bit. naruto uses the kage bushin in order to be in two different places within the same area at once. thinking about what he wants each bushin to do before the summon. that in itself takes quite a bit of thinking when trying to think in a tactical manner while engaged with an opponent. the space time jutsu is the only logical step in the progresion of the kage bushin.

wasn't one of the realms able to deflect all jutsus thrown at him...it was stated that only physical attacks..taijutsus .. where able to hit him... wouldnt gai be the best person to fight him... while the others fight pein.. i don't think gai would be able to even get close to pein due to his ability to control gravity and (push and pull things) from his center...

At the same time, One of Naruto's clones ran into Itachi, and that is when Itachi gave Naruto some sort of power. Remember that was done to a clone.

you dont think strategy with the bushin would just be natural... for example ...since he knows what he wants to do .. and makes the bushin... each one inherits the same thoughts of the first .. so inturn each would know thier role... cuz if you notice during battles he never talks to them.. damn sometimes you dont even see him make any or just a few... they are allready in hiding and just waiting for the right moment to initiate the attack.... but a time/space jutsu coupled with the kage bushin would make him to be able to be everywhere and once...and soon as one was released he would gain there knowledge and experience ... which would take care of any distance problems... and limit the actual danger in battle

i think you misunderstood me. by general area i meant and area that is far less vast than an area that could be covered by a space time jutsu. it would make bushin travel to any part of the narutoverse limitless.

thats a good fucking point... i barely remembered that... i wonder what it is.. maybe it has something to do with the hidden jutsu of his...or maybe with the ninetails ... remember the they have the power to control the ninetails

i get you on that but as soon as he thinks... hey im going to attack him head on while i have clones use a rasengan from above.. it instantly happens...and is realized by the clones .. when they are made... the only problem that comes is adaptation of plan of attack ya know... one thing goes wrong... there goes the plan.. cuz come on its obvious naruto is a slow learner...

SO I thought of this...

Remember that the key to the 4th's Space-Time jutsu was to give kunei knives with special tags on them to other ninja to scatter around the battle. This was how he was able to go from place to place.

So IF Naruto learned space time jutsu, he would use his clones off with those kunei-tags. However, wouldn't that just be a waste of clones and chakra?

Naruto is known for not being covert, he just jumps into combat yelling and screaming. Space time wouldn't let him do that. I don't even see how it would benefit him.

ALSO. Tobi can't be using Space-Time because he isn't using any of these tags to teleport to. Tobi must be using some other type of "space time jutsu"

for sure... or delay till someone better gets there... cuz gai is good for that ... he wont stop till his dead...hell... he would rather kill him self trying to kill the enemy then to let someone else take the glory of a sacrificial piece
