Ok so we all know the yata hype, repels anything right? Indestructible, etc. Now iirc, jj obitos sword of nunboku or whatever it was called was supposed to be indestructible as well wasn’t it? So would this mean that even something like yata would have a limit? It just seems indestructible cause no one has managed to take it to its limit yet? Thoughts? It was just a thought I had as if that godly sword had a limit than yata would too? Not trying to hate on anything tbh I just think it’d be a lot cooler this way.

Of course it does.

Yata requires contact with Jutsu to repell it, Jutsu like Kamui, which have no physical form can't be touched thus Yata's special ability doesn't work on it.
I doubt yata can recreate KKG elements which require a combination of elements
Powerful physical attacks like EE or nightmoth

That's what makes the most sense to me anyway.

It most probably has a limit to what it can handle. Lots of hyperbolic statements in the franchise, especially in the DB so I take that hype with a pinch of salt. If anyone wants to take the statements at face value, good for them. I doubt it can counter perfectly timed combination attacks because that would require it to take on the properties of two different chakra natures at once (DB says it works by changing attributes to negate the incoming attack). Don't know about KKG or techniques like Kamui either.

If I took every statement in the manga & DB at face value, I'd believe Kabutowari>Rikodou Enhanced Perfect Susano'o :sdo:

That's just my own logic though, other people are free to believe what they want to.

It do not have. Where is Nuno boku No Ken called The Most Absolute Perfect Attack and Defense? Nowhere.
But Yata and Totsuka Offenses and Defenses has been called the Most Absolutely Perfect Weapons. So no, it has no limits as per Manga. Making Itachi completely Invincible according to Black Zetsu who knows Kaguya's Space Time Teleportation and Kamui and Sage Of The Six Paths Techniques and Chibaku Tensei. Yes it is the only thing with zero limits in Naruto Verse. It is Magical along with being Spiritual. Magical definition:
magical

adjective: magical
1.
relating to, using, or resembling magic.
"magical healing powers"

rarenecromantic, thaumaturgic, thaumaturgical, sorcerous, extramundane
"he began uttering magical incantations"
2.
beautiful or delightful in a way that seems removed from everyday life.
"it was a magical evening of pure nostalgia"
synonyms: extraordinary, remarkable, exceptional, outstanding, incredible, phenomenal, unbelievable, inconceivable, unimaginable, amazing, astonishing, astounding, stunning, staggering, marvellous, magnificent, wonderful, sensational, breathtaking, miraculous, singular, uncommon, unheard of, unique, unparalleled, unprecedented, unusual, unusually good, too good to be true, superlative, prodigious, surpassing, rare; More
informalfantastic, fabulous, stupendous, out of this world, terrific, tremendous, brilliant, mind-boggling, mind-blowing, awesome, stellar;
literarywondrous
"the news had an instant and magical effect"
enchanting, entrancing, spellbinding, bewitching, beguiling, fascinating, captivating, alluring, enthralling, charming, attractive, appealing, magnetic, irresistible, intriguing, engaging, hypnotic, mesmerizing, mesmeric, intoxicating, heady, seductive, inviting, idyllic, wonderful, magnificent, superb, glorious, sublime, lovely, delightful, beautiful, too good to be true;
informaldreamy, heavenly, divine, gorgeous, mind-blowing
By definitions, Magic - is synonymous with Unparalleled, Supernatural. The second word means something which works against the laws of Physics. Meaning Yata Shield and Totsuka Blade can defy gravitation, time, space and reflect every thing and cut any thing and seal it with thier supernatural properties and thus Itachi becomes absolutely invincible. No technique will work against it. It bypasses space and time because of lacking any tangible substance and thus is intangible in definition yet does the above because it can bypass scientific laws.

Edit: Gudodama is composed of all nature elements. Does it mean it has to convert into a certain nature to repel that natured attack? People forget logic when it comes to Itachi it seems. So sad, denying manga and databook statements and passing off head canon as facts lol.

With yata i believe its up to the user. Dont know about itachi because of his stamina. but put it in madaras hands and he could tank anything.

Totsuka in my opinion has no limit.

Nunbuko or whatever its called was as strong as person will. Naruto ans sasukes will was stronger at the time.

No they dont have a limit provided the user doesn't.

Obito's sword faltered because his will faltered. He started tk have self doubt and question himself.

Didn't Obito say it was a sword of the soul? He had weak resolve and this does not discredit Yata in any way.

Yata at best can deflect normal ninjutsu (goukakyu, suiryudan, etc) and weak physical attacks.

I got some good surprising responses, and some dull predictable ones. So for you guys, question, did itachi use susanoo or yata to take the kirin hit?

He tanked it with an incomplete, or partial, Susano'o
