Setting: Deep in a Forest.
Maho: Sensei, where are we going?
Sensei: Further.
Maho: Could you be a little more specific?
Sensei: No.
Maho: If I had a map-
Sensei: Don't you trust me, Maho? If you didn't, why is there a massive power lieing deep within you?
Beast (To Maho): He's got a point.
Maho (Mumbling): I'd trust you more if you told me where we were going.
Sensei: I can hear you.
Maho: I know you can hear me; I want you to hear me!
Sensei chuckled.
Sensei: It's only a little further.

Narrator: Several hours later, Maho and Sensei reached Sensei's destination.
Setting: A Clearing in the Middle of the Forest
Maho: You said...
Sensei: I know what I said.
Maho: But it took-
Sensei: I know how long it took.
Maho: And you wonder why I don't trust you...
Beast (To Maho): Quiet, boy! Do you know what this place is?
Maho (To Beast): No.
Beast (To Maho): Then shut up and pay attention!
Sensei: Maho, see that well over there?
Sensei gestured to an old, crumbling well at the outskirts of the clearing.
Maho: Yeah, why?
Sensei: That's a soul well. You create a coin from your magic while focusing on a person who is deceased.
A coin sparkled to life in Sensei's hand as he spoke.
Sensei: Then you throw the coin in and their soul will return to this world for a short while. You can then talk to them, though that's really the only purpose of this.
Maho: So these things are for talking to people beyond the grave? Isn't there a spell for that?
Sensei: Gypsies have a spell which is a weaker version of the well, but with more range. While they can talk to anyone who is dead, the Soul Well can only bring back people who you have known.
Sensei then walked to the well, Maho following close behind, and tossed the coin in.
Maho: What happens if you throw in a coin of someone who's still alive?
Sensei: Excelent question. But I think you should let this man answer your Soul Well questions...
Next to the well, a figure began to materialize. It did not sparkle like most magic, but simple faded into being. At first, Maho thought the man was Sensei.
Sensei: Maho, this is my father. Father, this is my new student, and capsule of the Blue Beast, Maho.
Sensei's Father: Maho... That name is familiar, somehow...
Sensei: Father, could you answer Maho's questions about the Soul Well?
Sensei's Father: Soul Well?
Sensei's father turned around to see the well behind him.
Sensei's Father: D@mn it! I guess that means I'm dead, doesn't it?
Maho: That was actually one of my quetsions. What happens if you throw in the coin of someone who's still alive?
Sensei's Father: The coin will flip back up into your hand, and the magic will return to you.
Maho: I see... So if I ever wonder if someone's dead or not, I can use a Soul Well?
Sensei's Father: Yes. Unless they're sealed. If their soul is not in the afterlife, but is sealed away in this life, the well will not bring them back.
Maho: Alright. When Sensei mentioned the Soul Well, you were suprised. Does that mean you weren't aware that you were dead?
Sensei's Father: No. The time from when I was killed to now passed by like a second. I suppose if one were to commit suicide for any reason, though, they would realize that they were dead when brought back.
Maho: What about how long you can stay in this world?
Sensei's Father: The caster of the coin constantly supplies magic so the soul can stay and speak. Though we cannot leave a certain area around the well.
Sensei: Speaking of which... Father, I was in a grave fight today, and most of my magic is either sealed, exhausted, or both. I promise to speak with you again.
Sensei's Father: On this side of the well, or the next?
Sensei just gave a grim smile, and he father faded back into the nothingness he came from.
Sensei: Are there any other questions?
Maho: One. When you introduced me, you said I was the new capsule of the Blue Beast. Will he remember that when he's next brought back?
Sensei: A good question. No, he won't. Unless it's me who brings him back. If anyone else revives him, he will only remember what he knew while he was alive, and what he learned with the person who revived him. So no, information like that can't be extracted from dead souls.
Maho: What about gypsies?
Sensei: No, a gypsy soul only knows what it knew when it was alive.
Beast (To Maho): So the secret's safe.
Maho (To Beast): Secret?
Maho: Sensei, are we trying to hide the fact that I have the Blue Beast?
Sensei hesitated, and then sighed.
Sensei: There is one.

Setting: A Forest
Trees withered around the sheer heat of black burning flames as a man in a metal suit sped through the forest.
Demon (To ???): Who are you after first, boss?
Sensei (Speaking to Maho): A man bent on recreating The Great One. But in a darkened form.
???: The Beast is on my list, but I think I'm going to have to make a pit stop before then...
