fast is beat power sound wave from a sonic boom can kill easy

Flash doesn't have super-strength and he's still human

if he punches a brick wall at the speed of sound, he's going to break his arms

Speed is indeed a factor but i should say consistent speed. Ay is a good example as he can have jolts of speeds that are faster that majority of the ninja. He canot however keep that up. Naruto is partially the same he has hish speed potential but it isn't exercised throughout a fight.

Moving at the speed of light you can't think and can hardly get things done you have to stop some time to get your bearings or w/e.

No. Flash's speed gives him what is effectively superhuman strength, and it doesn't cause him any harm.

Infinite Mass Punch: Traveling near the speed of light acquired the relativistic mass of such speed to impart blows which could hit with a force greater than that of "a white dwarf star", Flash's own durability regulated by the Speed Force in such cases. Realistic effects take over as a body approaches light-speed (His control over his powers and the Speed Force is so great, that he can choose to ignore these realistic effects if he wishes to). Visual input will begin to blueshift and his body's mass will increase towards infinity. With this ability, he was able to knock out a martian as durable/tough as Superman from Mount Rushmore to the plains of Africa, all with one devastating punch.

The Wally West version could also heal instantly anyway, so it's not like it'd even matter if his arm did break.

Speed is irrelevant. Its a plot device. They will emphasize it in some battles, or even some portions of battles and then neglect it when they don't need it anymore. It is completely inconsistently portrayed in both this series and DBZ. We've seen it countless times in this series.

I don't know much about flash

all I know is that his limit is near light-speed but could still most likely go faster

and in the new 52, he's not as broken

Pretty much all DC superheroes in the original continuity had some really overpowered features at one point or another which is why I think that nearly any superhuman DC character is an unfair match-up unless it's from the new 52.

I mean people compare goku to superman prime, but superman at his prime was omnipotent....see my point?

Eh, they create villains that are just as, sometimes even more overpowered to match it.

Or just use Batman to stop a rogue hero, if ever necessary. Because he's Batman.

The thing is your argument is sooo flawed. Nobody can go as fast as the speed of light, I know your trying to support your argument but if you are gonna exaggerate speed like that you have to do the same to the other factors as well. Let's say somebody has the perfect defense, an invincible and impenetrable body, what are you gonna do to them with your speed of light? Exactly, nothing. Not to say speed isn't important but definitely not the most important factor in fights.

Besides if you move that fast and punch something that hard your just gonna hurt yourself. So the weakness is still you have to slow down before punching somebody which they could react to. Imagine you on a car going 200km if you put your hands out to punch a wall your just gonna break your body

Flash travels many times faster than the speed of light.

True, in New 52 he isn't as broken, but Pre-52 he could easily solo most heroes and villains.

that's why I don't really think it's fair using him as an example of speed in Naruto

almost all techniques have some weakness in Naruto and the characters have limits, whereas DC doesn't usually

Sure some techniques are still broken but not as OP as flash

like KA might not have a known counter, but the trade-off is that you can only use it once every ten years

FTG might be instant teleportation, but Minato doesn't move light-speed like flash does. He also has to first throw the kunai at human speed in order to teleport to it

the kunai itself can easily be dodged or countered, so it really boils down to using it at the right time and not speed-blitzing the opponent.

Speed blitz might seem like a sure thing but aside from A, BM naruto, Juubito, maybe perhaps Kabuto, and a few others, no one's speed is all that extrodinary(I didn't add Minato for the reason stated above)

Well I wasn't talking about Naruto characters having this speed in this thread. This thread was just all about being able to solo with an insane amount of speed.

Look I love the flash but he didn't even knock out Luther with all that speed. So thanks for helping make our point. Also unless you have the speed to reverse time(flash) it's not that decisive of a factor.

he has more than just ftg. minatos base speed and shunshin speed is one of the fastest in the manga, especially his shunshin speed. anyone remember his ridiculous shunshin feat before he warped the juubidama?
