The Speed and Tracking Guide is a simple tool which details the different movement speeds and tracking prowess gained or given by some abilities. Tracking speed and reaction speed are basically the the level of the target's movement speed that your own senses can follow. It is the process that goes from the moment you perceive an action, ( for example, an opponent running ) to the moment you start your counter action ( for example, running another direction than the opponent ). This includes perceiving the attack, evaluating it, running mental simulations of various outcomes and testing various counter actions and finally deciding on the counter action ideal for the situation and starting it. This doesn't, however, include the actual counter action but rather all the process that goes from noticing the action to starting the counter action. Because of this, often people confuse movement speed with reaction speed. Movement speed is the speed at which you are capable of moving your body and its various parts. Reaction speed is the time you take from the moment you see an action to the moment you start your answer to it. listed below are the "Speed Chart" and "Tracking Chart" to indicate the default speed and tracking levels as well as any canon techniques or abilities that will enhance them..

Speed Boost cannot be stacked, meaning only one speed boost can be in effect at a time. If multiple techniques are active that boost the users speed, only the highest will apply. Specialties however add to your rank to form your Base speed. The boost will then be applied to the users base speed. To calculate your speed, you can use the following formula: ("Rank" + "Specialty") +/x "Boost" = "Speed"
  • Example: Someone who is Jounin rank with Secondary Speed Specialty and Leg Weights moves at ( 8 + 2 ) x 2 = 10 x 2 = 20

Tracking Speed starts with your current movement speed +4. This means that if you increase your movement speed, your tracking speed also naturally increases to keep up. Tracking boosts stack on each other to increase the overall tracking abilities of a ninja if they are of different nature. For example, If you have Chakra Sensing and have a 3t Sharingan, you get a tracking boost of x2 + x3 meaning you can track people moving at x5 your base speed so long as you are keeping track with both abilities. This means if someone is out of the line of sight of the Sharingan, you will only have the x2 tracking via the Chakra Sensing until a line of sight is once again established. However, if you have two tracking boost of the same nature. For example an Obito bio with both a MS and a Rinnegan, or two sensing abilities, only the highest applies. To calculate your tracking, you can use the following formula: ("Speed + 4") +/x ("Boost" + "Other Boosts when applicable")
  • Example 1: A Jounin with Chakra Sensing active: ( 8 + 4 ) x 2 = 12 x 2 = 24
  • Example 2: A Jounin with 3t Sharingan and Chakra Sensing: ( 8 + 4 ) x ( 3 + 2 ) = 12 x 5 = 60
  • Example 3: A Jounin with Chakra Sensing and Sage Mode: ( 8 + 4 ) x ( 2 + 4) = 12 x 4 = 48

The Ninja World Roleplay is divided by over 200 landmarks. All tracking abilities are able to track a target within the same landmark that your biography is currently in. However some abilities are able to sense or see over multiple adjacent landmarks. Abilities differ in how they track so the following is a small breakdown on what abilities are able to track over multiple landmarks in the Ninja World.

Can track within the same Landmark:
Sharingan (1t - EMS)RinneganOtsutsuki Tenseigan
Chakra SensingEmotion SensingKetsuryugan
Heat SensingYin-Yang SensingSound Hearing
Can track up to two adjacent landmarks away:
ByakuganJoganImperfect Sage Mode
Can track up to three adjacent landmarks away:
Byakugan w/ Sage RankPerfect Sage Mode
Jogan w/ Sage RankInuzuka Smell
Can track up to four adjacent landmarks away:
Zetsu Mayfly SensingNine Tailed Chakra Mode
Can track up to five adjacent landmarks:
Kaguya SensingTailed Beast ModeSix Paths Sage Mode
Can track up to Six adjacent landmarks:
Mind's Eye of Divine EntertainmentHyuga Tenseigan

Please note that being able to track over multiple adjacent landmarks do not Stack, this means only the farthest tracking ability is counted, only using that method of tracking. Likewise, some tracking abilities require specific conditions to be met in order to track over a distance. For example Zetsu bio's require them to be in their Mayfly to track via roots. While Inuzuka can only track smell from landmarks their target has previously been. Having the sensing specialty increases the range of all sensory ability's by two landmarks. No tracking ability is able to track across Ocean Landmarks with the only exception being Mind's Eye of Divine Entertainment.
