I really enjoyed it. Although I must say a few times I was just plain lost on what was meant to be building up.

Spectres Layout:
Act 1: literally just Skyfall
Act 2: subtle rare character development(?!)
Act 3: 1960s Timothy Dalton level shit
Well made film though, even if I felt like the tone and campiness was all over the place. 7/10.

Visually, it was a spectacle but you shouldn't go into the movie expecting it to be some sort of story-telling masterpiece -- in fact it's far from it. Spectre has beautiful locales such as Mexico, Rome and London which are all highlighted with just as beautiful shots of the cities but aside from that, the characters are bare and the plot is stripped from any charm or mystery as it's all laid out for you throughout the film.
It felt distant from an actual James Bond film as it lacked any sort of gadgetry or much style and the relationships that Bond is notorious for feel quite forced and unnatural at this point. Some scenes dragged on a bit (especially the chase scene) and the main villain had no grandeur to him even though he was the head of Spectre though to no fault of Christoph Waltz, he can only work with what's given to him. I feel that Spectre could have been much more than what it was but regardless, it's still a good movie to watch in the cinema but certainly not something to put on your top lists.
