~Role Play Related~

I have been having this thought on my mind for a while now, and I finally decided to bring it up, I do not know whether or not it was brought up before or what but I would like to know why isn't things like Fuuinjutsu, Kinjutsu, leg weights, CM, Sound Release etc, allowed to become achievable through a Battle Test like it is with the Rain Element? I believe it still possible for people to prove themselves capable of wielding this special ability through an official Battle test and it would also prevent RPers from moaning that they can't come by these special abilities because mods don't wanna give them permission or there aren't much tournaments coming around for them to achieve these abilities as prizes.

I am open to anything from both the NB RP community and the staff, though it has to be on topic please, if you have something to say to myself perhaps, like call me power hungry and what not for suggesting this, you have my VM wall to do so, but don't expect me not to get ugly if you are going to.

The list you made of abilities is what you could see as a perfect example of how similar abilities evolved differently throughout the years up to this day.

In the old days rain and sound were very special abilities. This were abilities that only one or two regular RPers had a monopoly on, they could decide on their on whim how many people could learn them, which requirements they needed and how they had the right to learn it. In most cases they simply thought it to two or 3 people after discussing it with a senior mod. After a while one of those students could become a master and teach 2 or 3 students himself.

The ones who had a monopoly on rain simply taught it to more people and thye did it via regular battle tests. At a time when we had social groups and before the NW, there was once an Amegakure group, which resulted in rain tests being done frequently. The concept of battle testing for rain simply, albeit changed, succeeded in surviving.

Sound on the other hand had always been far more strictly guarded, especially when the ones who had a monopoly on it became inactive and a regular battle test was never used on a regular basis if at all. Because this skill was both very rare and not many people were actively involved with it, so there was a chance to provide a set of rules for it at some point, which still kinda represent that very old original system. He decided to not make a test for it.

Leg weights doesn't really belong there as that's something quite recent compared to all the other skills you mentioned. So the one who made the rules for that could pretty much decide how this was going to be given away.

CM have always been Nexus thing and belonged in the domain of med ninjutsu and that same system still works today.

Fuuinjutsu and kinjutsu always were elite skills. Rarely anyone was allowed kinjutsu and too many people already have fuuinjutsu. It should have never been so widespread. Likewise these were closely tied to med ninjutsu, Rei and Nexus and strictly guarded for most of the time.

And there is also something seriously wrong with that notion of battle testing for everything you want. Rain, CM and leg weights are from a very different caliber than kinjutsu or fuuinjutsu. Fact is this would be reason enough for me to not allow you to have something like fuuinjutsu as even though it can be used offensively, it isn't meant to be offensive in the first place. What has doing a battle test to do with fuuinjutsu? It's kinda simple to think that just doing a battle would get anything you want. Moaning? You think they aren't going to moan when they all fail their tests by the dozen because we would use draconic standards and judgements? Not to mention all those tests have to be checked.

No I don't believe that people can prove themselves with just battles for everything, same way I don't believe good RPers automatically make good RP mods.
