Actually its an improved version of Danish, made in 1814, and improved throughout the 19th century

Norwegians weren't hard to control, they were all pheasants, they weren't doing any resistance, also, giving up Norway wasn't a mistake, if it wasn't given up to Sweden, it would mean Denmark's doom, you were simply outnumbered, it wasn't only Sweden, it was Russia, Sweden and Great Britain.
Please pay better attention in history classes, and do your research before replying to an argument. I won't say Norwegian is a beautiful country, but at least the way its spoken and written are somewhat the same, unlike Danish, where the written language is kinda okey to read, but impossible to pronounce correctly, as I said, you need to choke on something while reading it if you want to pronounce it correctly. And even if Norway was controlled by Denmark once doesn't change the fact that all the other Scandinavian countries, which were never under reign of Denmark has the same letters.
